Yes, I charge both my IPAD and Iphone with it.  The circutry in the charger, (like most) will supply the correct voltage.

the product page pdf lists dimensions as:

Width 4.625"
I believe this may be package size otherwise this is HUGE beast

Item is about 3 inches long. Half of that goes into the plug. About 1 1/3 stick out. A little more than an inch in diameter for the section that had the plugs.

kensington site says 10-18vdc input; 5vdc 4.2A output..will not work on 24vdc system
