What Network is this phone on??

From what I understand it uses the sprint network towers. But I have better service then what I had when with sprint and in areas sprint is supposed to be lacking my Virgin Mobile phone works rather well.

Is this compatible with Virgin Mobile?

Yes. I bought one to use as a MP3 player and used it as a phone for a couple of months with the $35 a month Unlimited plan. It roots easily and I have a 64GB SD card installed for extra music.

With the right app, it makes wifi calls well and tethers well.

can this phone can be paid through Verizon? And can I keep my number?

I don't think so. This is a Virgin Mobile phone. You could ask Verizon if it would work. This phone is a "no contract" phone which means you can change phone companies anytime you want. You can port or keep your number if you change companies as long as you have your new phone company port it. Something to think about is that with a no contract company if you don't pay your bill on time you could lose your number. Hope it helps.

If I am going to use this phone for service from Ting which uses the Sprint network, would this phone work? Thanks

This phone is designed for the Virgin Mobile US Network. It does not roam off of the Sprint network at all. If Ting operates like Cricket mobile, it might be possible to flash a phone if Ting uses Sprint's network. You'll need to check with Ting first. Keep in mind if you flash a phone it won't be usable on the original Network billing system any more only by the flashed operator. Major Carriers like Sprint & mnvo like Virgin do not flash back phones. Also flashed phones may have limited calling capabilities due to partial radio spectrum coverage.

I need a Sprint phone for FreedomPop.  Would this phone work for FreedomPop's service?

I think this phone will only work with virgin mobile, which it's part of the sprint network, personally I love this phone, takes great pics, good battery life and good speaker too.

Question 6

I see a question about internal memory, but there are multiple answers.  I want to know how much internal memory there is and how much memory can be expanded using an SD card.  On one site I see this phone listed as having 1 GB internal memory and another says 4 GB.  What does this phone have?

I loaded the SD Spec Device app.  Here's what it said:

Is this a new phone?

Nope, this is maybe a year or 2 old, it is really good, and small compared with the HTC and GALAXY S5, it fits right in my pocket and still be able to tell that its there, unlike the big boys where you have to have pants with big pockets just to fit your phone, it is great, efficient, tho the way i use it i have to charge it every night, one time i left it on and forgot about it with a full charge and when i remembered (4 days later) the battery was only at 38%, and that was with the WIFI, BLUETOOTH and GPS on, so i can say that the battery is really good but if you use it too much it gets hot and the battery goes down a bit faster

Not that I know of. Part of the reason it was invested in was because it had to be used on the Virgin Mobile network.

Question 9

How much internal memory does this have? I don't see it noted anywhere.

Problem with my current phone is that with all the apps that Virgin pre-installs and can't be removed, there's no room left for much of anything else.  I can fit like two apps and then have to be careful because a few txts and the memory fills up preventing any more txts to come through.

itll fill up if you have all games on it, but i have snapchat,instagram,facebook, skyoe abd three other apps and i have tons of texts and pictures, so its pretty good

Virgin  Mobile is part of Sprint and Sprint phones don't use a removable sim card so it cannot be used on T-Mobile or At&t networks. Unlocking it is not an option that would help.
