Eve Outdoor Cam turns on the built-in flood light automatically the moment the motion sensor detects activity. Set if, when, and for how long you want the dimmable flood light to illuminate the space, and use the Eve app to turn on light boost when you want it to shine extra-bright.
Get instant, rich notifications.
Receive notifications on your iPhone the moment motion is detected, and keep your home safe from intruders. That way you can take immediate action if there’s an unwanted visitor, and record evidence at the same time.
And by leveraging your home hub's facial recognition capabilities, you'll be notified when people you've tagged in the Photos app enter the field of view so you know exactly who's at your door.
Customize notifications and recordings.
Choose when you want to be notified, and if you want to make recordings whenever something is up or only if people, pets, vehicles, or packages are detected. The video footage is analyzed securely in your home by your home hub, not in any cloud.
Recordings are saved for ten days in your iCloud and then deleted automatically. If you want to hold on to a recording, you have the option to save it permanently.
Two-way communication.
Not at home, and the courier wants to know where to drop the delivery? No problem! With the built-in microphone and speaker, you can say where to put your package.
Only on when you want it to be.
You decide when the camera should be on and how it should operate. Have your patio camera turn off automatically during the day when everyone's at home. And always know if Eve Outdoor Cam is currently active, turned off, or streaming video thanks to the clearly visible status LED.

And the motion events list gives you the perfect overview of when motion was detected – regardless of whether video recording was enabled at the time.
Installation
Thanks to the three-axis camera angle adjustment, you can easily adapt Eve Outdoor Cam to your needs. Eve Outdoor Cam is best installed replacing an existing outdoor light – perfect for both your doorstep and patio.
Please note for customers in North America: An adapter plate is needed for the Eve Outdoor Cam if installing on a junction box. A free adapter plate is available to be added to cart at check-out. This item is already included in the box with purchases of the Black Outdoor Cam version.
About HomeKit Secure Video
Eve Outdoor Cam exclusively supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video, enabling you to securely store activity detected by Eve Outdoor Cam in iCloud. Using on-device intelligence, Apple TV or HomePod can determine when a person, animal, vehicle, or package is present before securely storing the recording in iCloud for you. A 10-day recording history is available to view in the Apple Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
HomeKit Secure Video requires iCloud+ (not included). iCloud+ with 50 GB storage supports one camera, iCloud+ with 200 GB storage supports up to five cameras, and iCloud+ with 2 TB storage supports an unlimited number of cameras. Camera recordings don’t count against your iCloud+ storage limit.
Activity zones.
HomeKit Secure Video supports activity zones. In just a few taps, you can put an end to nuisance HomeKit notifications by defining one or more areas you want your home hub to focus on when recognizing an image once the motion sensor has been triggered.

How do I install Eve Outdoor Cam?
Eve Outdoor Cam is best installed replacing an existing outdoor light and requires AC power with a connection to ground.
How does Eve Outdoor Cam detect motion and trigger recordings?
Thanks to a dedicated motion sensor, Eve Outdoor Cam will not bother you with reacting to leaves blowing in the wind, small animals, and other events that do not require your attention. If you have configured people / pet / vehicle / package recognition, any motion detected by the infrared motion sensor will cause the video footage to be sent to your Apple TV or HomePod to intelligently determine whether your recording criteria are met.
How do I configure the built-in motion light?
Eve Outdoor Cam will automatically turn on the flood light when motion is detected by the dedicated motion sensor. To limit the automatic motion light to nighttimes, adjust the duration, or deactivate it altogether, access the accessory settings in the Eve app.
What is light boost and how can I use it?
If you want the integrated flood light to shine extra-bright, tap the light boost button in the Eve app. You can also enable light boost for the automatic motion light. Light boost will turn off automatically after a period of time.
How does Eve Outdoor Cam connect?
For maximum range, Eve Outdoor Cam is compatible with 2.4 GHz band networks only. DHCP function must be active on your router, authentication via MAC addresses must be off. HomeKit requires Bonjour so please make sure to disable router tools like "Storm Control" that interfere with the Bonjour protocol (e.g. mDNS, Multicast). Avoid Wi-Fi access points that connect through Powerline/PowerLAN as they are also known to impact Bonjour.
Can I mount Eve Outdoor Cam upside-down?
Eve Outdoor Cam has to be mounted in an upright position with the camera's microphone and speaker array facing downwards in order to prevent water damage.
Can Eve Outdoor Cam be attached to an electrical junction box?
Eve Outdoor Cam has been designed to be mounted directly on a wall. Unless your electrical junction box has screw channels with 60 mm / 2.36 in clearance (center to center), you may need an extra light fixture mounting bracket (not included). (North America)
