Product specifically specifies that it's for plasma TVs. Would it work for LCD TVs as well?

Yes, it is VESA compatible 75x75mm, 100x100mm, 200x100mm, 200x200mm, 400x400mm, 600x200mm, and 600x400mm mounting standards.  I think the word "plasma" was used to describe the product, which is misleading, but it really should say any VESA compatible flat screen TV.

Will this rack work for TV sizes 32 inch through 43 inch ?

It should. I have a 40" set attached and it is very stable when mounted to the studs correctly. I would have no problem ordering this again.

is this just for plasma Tv or it is universal for any kind of LED TV?

It has nothing to do with the type of tv, it only has to do with the mounting hols on the TV. The mount is very adaptable, so if there are 4 holes in a vesa rectangle it will most likely fit.

I can't answer for certain for this TV, but if it is has a vesa mount, It most certainly is.
The width is not the critical dimension as the mounts slide on a continuous mount. For the height, there are many slots for the vertical spacing, so the odds are against not having a hole where you need it. The mounting bolts comes with the mount so if it's not vesa, you might have to get bolts to fit the holes on the TV. If the tv is less than 5 years old, I would be very surprised if this mount wouldn't fit it. That said, I can't vouch for that particular TV

Since it's been a couple years, I did measure the wall plate and it's 9x32 so the box would be only slightly larger. Maybe a couple inches thick.

Can this device be locked for security?

It gets bolted into the wall.  If you want to further lock it down, or somehow lock the tv/monitor to it or the wall, you have lots of places where you can run a cable through this mount (lots of holes) and then attach the cable to whatever you decide makes it secure.

I see it the same as a bike locking strategy.  Its going to be a deterrent.  If someone wants to steal it, they will bring the tools to do it.

No clue. Most wall mounts have presets geared tofactory specs for mounting screws. Happy with minefor a visio 37 inch.
