Can I tilt my tv to the right or left with this mount? 
I have a sectional and I was wondering if it would turn the tv to the side or just tilt up and down?

yes, you definitely can, I have a 70inch mounted to it and i can turn it to be viewed in the kitchen which is to the right of my fireplace where it is mounted, it tilts, swivels and pulls out and turns

how wide is the mounting plate, can i hit 3 studs, 16"OC?

It came with 2 24 inch wide back plates that screwed together I believe. It wasn't difficult to get 2 studs.. but 3 would be stretching it

Will this work with curved tv's ?

You're going to dislike this answer, but Yes and No!
Yes:
If the support screws on the back of your TV are aligned so as to allow #6xN (example size) screws in at a 90 degree angle to the wall then it will work. You just have to pre-measure the distance into the TV screw hole from the bracket face to allow for maximum support.

So lets say from where the curve is located its 1" from an imaginary line like on non-curved TV. Then the distance from the back of the TV screw hole has a depth of 1.25". the bracket is .125" thick. You need a screw #6 x 2.375 long for proper support.

No:
If the screw holes are aligned with the TV's curve then it will not work.
But technically you could again get longer screws - move the brackets apart a little further, then screw the bolts in at an angle. Not perfect but works. Just use a few washers as an offset on the bracket.

You can test both options by laying it on the floor on a blanket first to see which way is better, than to strain yourself and assistant by holding it up to the wall.

You can then mark all the alignments before hand and then prop it up on the bracket.

Is the tilt function easy to use?  How does the tilt function work (requires tool, etc.)?

Pretty easy, there are two screws on the top bracket that changes the tilt. They are pretty much hooks that hook on to the center bracket. Once you have determined the amount of tilt you desire. Just tighten it down. Chances are you may end up maxing the 45 degree tilt.will be easier for sure with a second hand.

WILL THIS WORK WITH TCL 55US57 55  4K TV?

If your TV has VESA mount screw holes in the back and weighs under 77 lbs. then I believe it should work.

Question 6

This mount is specified for 37-70 inches TV.  So it won't work for 32 inch TV?  Just want to confirm.  Thanks.

It probably will work. Just the width or the mount part that is mounted to the wall maybe exposed.  For people that are nip picky...it maybe an issue but for someone that could care less and just wants the TV on the wall then this should work.

Question 7

Is the mount plate 32" or close to it?
I want to hit 3 studs 16" OC.

It should be no problem as long as your studs are actually 16" OC. Sometimes studs are not where we expect due to accommodation of utilities or other factors. There is also the problem of them not being located precisely where you would like them. In either case, you can span the studs with a relatively thin plywood/fir backing plate which will accept the mounting bracket. I have done this on numerous installations, even spanning windows on occasion. I hope this suggestion helps.

How do I know if this will work with my tv? It says works with most....but don't know if it will fit mine. I have a 60" LG and a 60" Samsung.
