With ratios of 4:1 for moderate compression, 8:1 for severe compression, 12:1 for mild limiting, and 20:1 for hard limiting, you have complete control over your sound. The "All-Button" mode is particularly effective for drums, bass, guitar, room mics, or for more aggressive vocals.
The 76-KT's Attack knob adjusts the compressor's response time to audio that exceeds the threshold, while the Release knob controls how long the compressor remains engaged after the incoming audio falls below the threshold. Both knobs offer a range of response times, allowing for precise control over your audio output.
In homage to the original processor, the 76-KT features an illuminated, vintage-style VU meter for visual confirmation of gain reduction and output levels. The meter reading corresponds to an output level of +4, +6, or +8 dBm, depending on which button is engaged.
