The Aorus 17 BSG-13US654SH is a 17.3-inch gaming laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, 16GB DDR5 memory, and a 1TB SSD, suited to gamers who want a high-refresh QHD display and dedicated graphics.
Recommended For
- Competitive PC gamers who want a large QHD screen with a 240 Hz refresh rate for fast-paced play; the review found it especially suited to casual and competitive games that can take advantage of high frame rates.
- People who mainly game or work at a desk and want a 17.3-inch display, full-size keyboard with number pad, and a broad selection of built-in ports rather than a compact setup.
- Gamers who also edit photos or video and value a high-refresh QHD screen with wide DCI-P3 color coverage; the review also reported usable results in Photoshop and Premiere benchmarks.
- Users who want one laptop for plugged-in gaming and everyday office tasks: the review found it quiet during normal use and measured over 13 hours in its PCMark 10 Modern Office battery test.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- When gaming at a desk, players can use the AORUS 17 for current AAA titles at QHD; demanding ray-tracing games may need reduced resolution or graphics settings to keep play smooth.
- For competitive games, players can use the large QHD screen for fast-paced play; lighter esports and casual titles are the better fit for taking advantage of its high-refresh display.
- For photo work and occasional video editing, the AORUS 17 offers a roomy, color-rich screen and responsive creative apps; its 16GB of memory is a practical starting point, though heavier projects may benefit from more.
- For everyday work away from an outlet, such as documents and web browsing, it can serve as a large-screen work laptop; SMBtech measured 13 hours and 12 minutes in its Modern Office battery test, though demanding tasks and settings can change runtime.
- For moving between rooms or occasional trips, it can replace a desktop while keeping gaming and work in one machine; its 17-inch size and roughly 6.2-pound weight make it less convenient for frequent commuting.
