Does this stream Disney+ ?

Yes! It runs a version of andriod so any android app that supports andriod TV will be usable, including sideloading apps not in the play store.

Does the NVidia Sheild pro work with a sony bravia TV 2012 circa?

I haven't tested specifically on a Sony Bravia TV, but it shouldn't really matter. As long as your TV has an HDMI input it should work fine. It is only using your TV to display the picture through HDMI. All of the heavy lifting and processing is done by the Nvidia Shield device and not your TV.

Does it have a web browser for watching Britbox and Acorn TV?

It has TVWeb browser, and built in Chromecast so you can cast from your mobile device to the TV.

Does the remote have a mute button?

I heard that if you press both the "volume up" and "volume down" at the same time it will perform a "mute" operation.

Can you Stream Plex Media Server through this one or only the pro?

Yes, Plex works wonderfully through this!
