Does this require to be manually connected every time you log on to your computer? or will it stay connected even if the computer is restarted?

Hi.  The device acts like a secondary monitor when connected to a device.  Depending on the age of the connected device drivers are typically not required.  Its basically a simple plug and play that is hot swappable between users.

Question 2

Would the HDMI transmitter still transmit the picture if it was connected with a Displayport (or miniDisplayport) to HDMI adapter?

Yes. I made the mistake of buying this for my Dell XPS 12 which did not have a HDMI port. It however did have a mini-display port. I bought an adapter that actually provided 3 types (HDMI/DVI/VGA) ports and this unit had no issues adapting to it. It transmits seamlessly and there are no resolution issues.

Question 3

Is this  "line of site" transmitter?

I need the transmission to be able to go through a wall to my patio outside.

It will go through walls, I had quality issues going through 2 walls approximately 20 feet, but 1 wall no problem. It is not line of sight.

Question 4

Will product allow me to connect my laptop to it and see the desktop on my laptop?  I am looking for something for an admin conference Room that allows folks to show the laptop on the tv the entire laptop desktop.  I have a chrome cast and this works well with anything in chrome casting to the TV, but I need it more for microsoft products like put up power point presentations and word docs for groups to look at.

I bought one of these for the exact reason that you are looking to buy.  We used it in a conference room for people to mirror their laptop to the TV/projector.  I was thinking about buying Chromecast, but like you said, it can't do Powerpoint or some other Microsoft applications.  Also, the best part about this product is that there is no software to install.  Just plug it in and it works.  This was important for me since we often had people coming in to do presentations and I didn't want every new user to have to install software for just one use.  This transmits very clear.  It looked just as if I was plugged in to the TV/projector.  It also does audio too, which is nice.

The one drawback, which isn't that clear when viewing the product online, is that there is a USB dongle that plugs in to the HDMI thumb drive.  This is used to power the thumb drive.  So, the laptop user must plug in a usb port and the HDMI port.  It's not a huge deal, but just something to be aware of.

can i hook up more tvs to this  transmitter? if i buy more recievers

yes you can pair the transmitters (small HDMI device) to any IOGear receiver. This setup works great, receiver needs line-of-sight for remote to operate so it has to be in clear view.

purchased HDMI saver cable (small pigtail) as transmitter is wide at port. also purchased a 6 foot USB cable for the transmitter as the short tail they provided was just short.

would be nice if transmitter did not need additional USB power, maybe on their next model.

Question 6

When i connect this to my LG tv it doesnt display but when i connect to my monitor it displays. What am i missing here. Does it not work on 4k tvs?

The IOGEAR Wireless HD TV Connection Kit GWHD11 supports video resolutions up to 1080p. If your LG TV is a 4K TV, it may not be compatible with the resolution output of this device.

Question 7

Can I connect my PS4 to a projector without any cables other than power with this? Also how easy is it to change it to connect my Xbox, Wii or streaming device? Is it as simple as leaving one end on my projector and just plugging the other piece into whatever device I want connected at the time?

I have a few systems that I would like to display on my projector without directly connecting them.  I don't mind plugging on in at a time as long as the set-up is as simple as plug in and its connected.  Would I be better off with one receiver/transmitter for each system and one on the projector?

I don't see why not.  We have the receiver hooked to a TV and plug the transmitter into a laptop to do presentations.  it works great for that. I did read you could use a second transmitter and then change the input on the receiver but we do not have a need for that feature.  We also get power on our transmitter from a USB port on the laptop, the receiver must be plugged into a wall outlet.  It has worked awesome for us.  Only word of caution the receiver gets VERY hot, it needs good ventilation of left on all the time.

does allow hdmi out from my tv to allow a 2nd tv to view what is on the original tv?
