Does this output audio through the HDMI?

Yes jf you want it to. I have mine connected via HDMI and the sound comes out through my tv.

how much wattage will i need to run this?

I don't know the exact wattage but my computer guy said i was about to fry my computer and sold me a new p/s. I believe it was about 450w.

Can I run two vga monitor with adapters on the card?

This card has one HDMI, one DisplyPort, and one DVI port. You can buy a DVI-to-VGA adapter and a DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter separately to run in clone or extended mode. Or, buy a DVI-to-Dual VGA to run in clone only mode.

Honestly I'd go the 1060 route if you are attempting VR (The 6GB model)

Does it actually have "3 x DisplayPort 1.4" connectors? The photos don't look like that.

Starting with DisplayPort 1.2, you can daisy chain monitors (some monitors have an input AND output) using Multi-Stream Technology (MST). I think they're trying to convey that this card supports up to 3 monitors on the one DisplayPort. If your monitors do not have output DisplayPorts to daisy chain from, you'll need an adapter.
