How well will this work with an AMD A10-6800K Richland 4.1GHz processor, and is there a better choice for a graphics card in this price range for that processor?

It should work fine, they're both GCN based CPUs, but most of the performance is going to come from the vidcard as it's quite a bit more powerfull than the graphics unit on your A10 - better match would probably be a 7750 or the R5/R7 closest equivalent if you're planning to crossfire - otherwise, anything should work.

Will this work in the Dell XPS 8300?

It's questionable.  The dell has pcie 2.0 X16 slots so the card will fit into your computer.  However, the dell has a 460watt power supply, and this card calls for 500watt minimum.  The system really shouldn't use that much power but if something does goes wrong, then you may have trouble returning it.  The worst you would probably just get random crashes when you are really at full stress.  If so you could use the ati control panel to undervolt the card and limit the power consumption.  Also the card uses a 6 pin power connector, I don't know if the dell has any 6 pin connectors, my guess is no.  So you would have to purchase a 4 pin to 6 pin adapter as the card doesn't come with any.  They are only a few bucks.  You should open up the dell and check before you order.

I'm looking to get a better video card for my computer and I am wondering if this is compatible? My computer is a HP Pavilion P6000 Series (product NO. WW640AA#ABA Model NO. p650f) I know a very limited amount about computers and this would be my first time trying to upgrade.

I'm using this card for lite coin mining and for some reason it is only giving me 350 kh/s.... anyone have optimized settings for litecoin mining?

350 is pretty typical.  The 380+ ratings on the litecoin wiki list some serious overclock speeds.  I'm not willing to push my 910mhz core up to 1100+, yet.

Question 8

Overdrive can set a fan speed %, and GPU-z reports that %, but on my unit the actual fan speed does not change. Is this normal for this model, or do I have a defective one?

My observation is based on noise and GPU-z indicated RPM. If I use my finger to slow the fan down, a lower speed does show in GPU-z, so I believe that is reporting actual speed.
I did not know there was a PowerColor utility, I will give that a try. Have you gotten thePowerUp to work with this card or are you going from experiances with other cards?

piggy back is it a drawback that it is pci 2.1 and not 3.0?  What is this card missing for $200 range vs what does it have?

Could I crossfire down road with r9 270x?  how does it compare to r9 270x?  will it be amd mantle compatible?

I dont think the fact that it is not 3.0 is a drawback.  3.0 compatible boards raised the price of my build substantially when I put it together a few months ago.  As for the crossfire, this card can only crossfire with another 7850 or a 7870 as far as I know. If you google amd crossfire chart you will be able to check it out.
