SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 2280 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: -Faster than an SSD
-Half a TB! :D

Cons: Not detected by Windows 7 install CD so you can't install Windows 7 from scratch. You have to use the special data migration software to get Windows 7 on the drive. What you could do is install a fresh version of Windows 7 and then use the software to copy the fresh Install on to the 950. I ended up upgrading to Windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool from Windows which does recognize the 950 and was able to install a fresh copy :B

Other Thoughts: In case you're wondering, this M.2 drive works with the Gigabyte GA-990FX-Gaming Mobo. It doesn't work at optimal settings due to my motherboard only supporting Gen 2 and the 950 drive being Gen 3. Regardless, it works really well. This is one reason I bought this drive, because in a way this item is future proof.

be quiet! SILENT BASE 800 ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Red

5 out of 5 eggs I love it! 07/31/2016

This review is from: be quiet! SILENT BASE 800 ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Red

Pros: -Dampens and silences internal noise. There's a huge difference from my old Antec Three Hundred!
-Looks awesome in Black and Red!
-Removable HD cages to provide more cooling from the front fans.
-Sturdy Case that doesn't vibrate or resonate.
-Plenty of Space and Fan Mounts.
-Cable Management.
-Comes with three Be Quiet Fans which are also very quiet!
-Two SSD mounts in the back.
-Lots more to list!

Cons: -I didn't like taking this thing apart in order to install fans, I kinda wish it was a bit easier. In the end it was worth it even tho it was kinda a hassle.
- Not a lot of space in the back panel which it won't close if you don't organize your cables well enough.
-PC is a bit warmer, of course this all depends on how you set up the case and the parts you use.

Other Thoughts: - How quiet this case gets really depends on the fans you install and the amount fans as well. I have this case maxed out on fans and its still surprisingly quiet. Other than the stock fans that come with it, I'm using Silenx 120 mm EFX-12-15 Fans and I'm pretty sure that helped. Make sure to install silent fans that will compliment this case.
-One thing to realize is that the front panel is removable so the fans can provide more air. At first glance it looks like the panel was broken due to shipping issues. As time went by I realized Its actually like that so you can remove it, Otherwise it would be a pain to remove and attach it again.

SilenX EFX-12-15 120mm Effizio Quiet Case Fan

5 out of 5 eggs Just what I needed. 01/02/2014

This review is from: SilenX EFX-12-15 120mm Effizio Quiet Case Fan

Pros: Really quite and really efficient.
Keeps my system colder than i was before. Everything dropped by 10 Celsius. My cpu has stock fan and its going on idle at 18 degrees Celsius. (can't wait to replace the stock fan). On top of that I have all four hooked up to a fan controller and they're all on low.

3 HHDs at 29 Celsius
1 ssd at 29 Celsius
amd hd 7770 at 41 celsius

Bought four of these for my antec three hundred. Those rubber pads really did the trick. I don't know what all the fuss is about, those things we're pretty easy to install.
Now I just need to buy a 140mm and another cpu cooler.

I bought these because my old fans were too loud and and were getting in the way of my recordings and productions. Glad I bought these.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that I had to buy several adapters for the fans in order to connect them to my fan controller. but its no biggie.

Other Thoughts: Some people say these are too loud. It might be your other fans and or you didn't install the rubber pads lol. Those pads make the biggest difference in loudness. All i hear now is the 140mm and my stock cpu cooler.
