GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DQ6 LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DQ6 LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Excellent mobo, I replaced my old faithful Asus P5K Deluxe Wifi on my main rig with this one. Extremely stable out of the box. I agree with the last reviewer, the energy saver is kind of cool to screw around with. Except for a Windows Update that crashed my system (also did it with the last board, the reason for the change in the first place), no problems whatsoever.

Cons: Chipset gets a little warm with the heatpipe cooling, but nothing to worry about.

Overall Review: Overclocked my Q6600 to 3.47 with no problems and excellent stability. Overclocked a Crucial Tracer Red DDR2-800 to DDR2-1200! Stability stopped abruptly at 1200mHz, so I assume that is probably the limit, at least without cranking up the NB voltage, which I didn't want to try. Q6600, 4GB Crucial Red Tracer DDR2-800, Asus EN9800GTX Top, Silverstone DA-800, Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

As well as could be expected

Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000
Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

Pros: I have owned this keyboard for about 4 years. It is connected to my primary computer, which my wife also usually uses. I am a hardware reviewer for 3 PC websites and occasionally write essays as long as 12K-15K words. This keyboard has typed literally hundreds of thousands of words just in my personal work, and that doesn't include forums, FB, email groups, etc. It has been dropped about four feet to the hard floor dozens of times, dangled by the cord more times, been eaten over literally hundreds of times. I remove crumbs by turning it upside down and pounding the edge of the board on my knees, and occasionally blowing with compressed air at 120 psi. Finally after three years the board is getting a short in the cord where it enters the keyboard, and has begun acting buggy.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Overall Review: Obviously I am very hard on keyboards. I doubt if I have ever had one that lasted more than a couple of years. I think I payed $15 for this board at Walmart on clearance.

Keyboard, 1 each

Logitech Classic Black 104 Normal Keys USB Standard Keyboard 200
Logitech Classic Black 104 Normal Keys USB Standard Keyboard 200

Pros: Good keyboard, good price. Key response is ok. Keys are located where they should be. (not always the case with inexpensive keyboards)

Cons: None really.

Overall Review: This keyboard was purchased for a kid's PC. Logitech claims "spill resistant". Yes, it probably is, after the liquid dried from the first soda spill, I was actually able to get the keys back working again without disassembly of the keyboard. Not so the second time, though all keys still work, they just stick. Most keyboards are immediately DEAD when something is spilled on them, so this is definitely a plus. Of course, NewEgg rules, yadda yadda yadda.....

Excellent!

ASUS P7P55D EVO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P7P55D EVO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I normally don't care for software oc'ing, but TurboV EVO is great, took my i7 870 to 4.2gHz, a 42% oc. Has USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gbit/s, so ready for next year's new stuff. Super stable out of the box.

Cons: None that I found.

Overall Review: If you need an LGA 1156 board, look no farther than this one, everything you need is right here. Price is right too.

KINGWIN XT-1264 120mm Xtreme Direct H.T.C. (Heat-pipe Touch Chip) CPU Cooler w/ 1366 Bracket
KINGWIN XT-1264 120mm Xtreme Direct H.T.C. (Heat-pipe Touch Chip) CPU Cooler w/ 1366 Bracket

Pros: I fully agree with the previous reviewer. This is one excellent cooler. I compared it with the Noctua NH-U12P and the Zalman CNPS 9900LED, on an i7 920. Stock clock load temps were 38C/48.5C/40C respectively. With the i7 overclocked to 3.8gHz, load temps were 67C/72C/61C respectively. Considering the Noctua and Zalman are the two most expensive air coolers on the market, the Kingwin XT-1264 is impressive indeed.

Cons: Uhh...it doesn't install itself?

Overall Review: I have owned the three previous Kingwin heatpipe direct touch coolers, and though I was fairly impressed with them with being decent economy air coolers, they are not in the same class as the XT-1264. I am a hardware reviewer for two PC hardware websites with seven years experience in hardware testing and reviewing. Trust me, this cooler is well worth more than the price that the Egg is asking.

Awesome

OCZ Blade Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3B2000LV6GK
OCZ Blade Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3B2000LV6GK

Pros: POSTed and booted fine at DDR3-2000 with i7 920 and Gigabyte EX58-UD4P. Actually overclocked to DDR3-2044 9-8-8 @ 1.66v. Had to see.

Cons: Zero problems.

Overall Review: Not all motherboards are capable of running DDR3-2000 on an i7 920 without flashing to the latest BIOS, this motherboard included.
