Fantastic keyboard

RAZER Black USB Wired BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
RAZER Black USB Wired BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Pros: I will skip out here since my positive experiences with this keyboard are mostly in line with most of the reviewers here. :)

Cons: -The material used for the keys might feel cheap to the touch. -Although 99% of the keys are lid, the shift variations of the keys aren't. In other words, you will see the ";" symbol light up but the ":" symbol will not. -The M buttons aren't exactly easy to reach unless you have big hands. -The FN key is not programable and can not be included in any macro. -Can not control the level of brightness of the LEDs from the included software. A disappointment since the lower grade Razer Lycosa could. - Some people have issues with the space bar getting stuck with the right shift key. I personally have not experience that yet after 3 months.

Overall Review: The plastic cover that came with the kayboard actually doubles up niceless as a cover for the kayboard. The only keys it won't cover would be the directional keys.

Most Critical Review

Came without a 24-pin cable

PC Power & Cooling ZX Series 850 Watt 80+ Gold Fully-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ-ZX850W)
PC Power & Cooling ZX Series 850 Watt 80+ Gold Fully-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ-ZX850W)

Pros: I honestly wouldn't know, yet.

Cons: I saw this PSU on sale here on newegg and immediately purchased one since I have been looking to upgrade mine and have had such a great experience with their Vertex SSD (which is still running great, btw). I just received this item last night and I was happy to see it packaged so nicely along with a nice certificate. The unit looked fine except for one problem; it did not come with a 24-pin cable, which is essential in utilizing this PSU. Had it been any other wire, I would have probably been less upset, but this is the main connector cable and it's hard for me to imagine how bad the QA could have been to miss something this important. Now it sits to collect dust while I have no way of determining if this unit even works (it worries me to see other reviewers said that they got theirs DoA).

Overall Review: I have contacted OCZ customer service and I am certain my review will change based upon their actions and whether or not this unit actually works once I get to try it. So far the experience has not been well. As it stands right now, I stand by the 1 egg rating.

Great air flow with bright, but not obnoxious, LEDs.

COOLER MASTER R4-L4S-10AB-GP Blue LED Case cooler
COOLER MASTER R4-L4S-10AB-GP Blue LED Case cooler

Pros: Great air flow given how quiet it is. The LEDs are beautiful and I used a few of them (120mm and 140mm versions) to transform my otherwise red HAF 932 case. The fitting was perfect for me.

Cons: 1. The connector is brown. I am not sure if there is any significant reason why it is brown, but it might throw off the coloring scheme of case modders. Nothing major, though. 2. The holes for the screws were not "pre-treated" or in other words they do not have spiral groves for the screws to slide right in. Instead, you will have to make your drill your own grooves, which can be a painful task due to the material the fan is made of.

Overall Review: Be sure to have a good screw driver or power driver on hand so that you don't ruin the screws while trying to carve the spiral grooves into the holes.

Fast, reliable memory from G.Skill

G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI
G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI

Pros: - Very reliable - Very stable for overclocking - Low voltage - Runs well with just plug and play - Very fast timming - Cool design for people who mod their desktops

Cons: - Expansive for the amount of memory you are getting

Overall Review: This is the second set I have purchased for my i7 desktop. All 12 gb are running at 7-8-7-24 timming without over clocking. Very stable and reliable even when I run my desktop in "overclock" or "turbo" mode.

Not sure if it made a difference

Creative 70SB088000004-8 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express 1x Interface Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Sound Card
Creative 70SB088000004-8 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express 1x Interface Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Sound Card

Pros: - Easy installation - Inexpansive - Some what of an upgrade from the onboard sound card - Supports 7.1 surround sound

Cons: - Emits a short but startling and sharp buzz noise whenever my desktop powers on with the speakers on (Not an issue, of course, if the speakers were off.) - Requires some technical knowledge to get it to work with 64bit Window 7 - In some cases, as in mine, knowledge with BIOS is required to get this to work - Some issues, though able to be resolved, was not explained in the manual or resolved with the packaged software. Some research on the web solves everything though.

Overall Review: I "think" the sound is better than my on board sound card. I "feel" like it is but it might just be placebo because I want it to sound better having gone through all the trouble to get it to work. In the end though, I am not entirely sure if it actually sounds better. I do, however, now have some bragging rights for having a dedicated sound card. Making this thing work with my board and a 64bit Window 7 environment is also a bragging right all on its own.

Fantastic monitor at a great price

ASUS VS Series VS247H-P 24" (Actual size 23.6") Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz HDMI VGA DVI-D SPLENDID Modes Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor
ASUS VS Series VS247H-P 24" (Actual size 23.6") Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz HDMI VGA DVI-D SPLENDID Modes Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor

Pros: - Crystal clear picture - Easy installation - Very simple to use - Settings are very adjustable - The look of the monitor is nice and presentable - Presets do exactly what they are suppose to

Cons: - Fairly cheap feeling plastic stand - Monitor stands pretty short and its height is not adjustable

Overall Review: Got this back in December 2011 and still loving it. It's able to display very high quality pictures from my desktop (with 2 GTX 560s) as well as my PS3. The demension is perfect for gaming.
