Pros: The monitor feels very solid and well-built. Image quality is excellent. Best monitors I've found in the price bracket.

Cons: One of the buttons is wedged, and causes the monitor to tilt due to the pressure needed to press it.

Cons: - Matte finish gets oily VERY fast - Touch pad material isn't quite right (really intended to use a mouse)

Overall Review: I purchased this computer for multiple reasons. I work in IT management and needed something that I could bring into a boardroom without everyone rolling their eyes. The laptop is understated and the orange sides aren't too bright. I like the full-size keyboard but tend to use a dedicated mouse and keyboard while working. The laptop is certainly not "slim", but portable enough to throw in a briefcase or backpack. I enjoy photography and Photoshop/Lightroom run extremely well. The laptop does get quite warm when running GPU intensive software. I ordered a simple cooling pad and it's been keeping it nice and steady. The keyboard light has two settings. The lesser of the two is bright enough to easily work in bed without bothering my wife. While having the num keys is helpful, for whatever reason I struggle to hit the '0' button. It's located directly underneath the '2' and is the same size. I've been used to a double-sized '0' key to hit with my thumb. This might just be my shortcoming rather than the laptop's. I would give this 4.5 stars simply due to the awful matte finish, but I can't justify lowering it a full point. Overall, it's a fantastic piece of hardware.

Pros: My ability to delay gratification is less than stellar. After poking around a few big-box retailers, I was left unimpressed with what they had to offer. I'm glad that I waited the few days it took for this tower to arrive. Each component is just a little bit better than what you find with most pre-built desktops. I've been especially pleased with how quietly it runs. I've owned several machines that were more at home on runways than in a home office. Asus has done a nice job with the construction, and the tower looks and feels well polished. Setup was quick and I've been very pleased with the performance.
