Pros: runs all the games i need it to great. runs warhammer daw2 with settings maxed no problem.
Cons: runs HOT!!! real hot, ordering some aftermarket coolers for them. right now i have side case open with desktop fan running on it.
Overall Review: 2x pny 8600gt oc great card for those who dont have alot of money to spend, just be prepared to have alot of case air flow or aftermarket coolers
Pros: great air flow tons of room great cable management fan slot on backside of cpu area of motherboard the 2 side fans are absolutely perfectly placed. Runs air over top and bottom of my video card, feeds it and keeps it cool.
Cons: no front mounted rads if you want liquid cooling. The fans sit in a cubby that would take some modding to hook a ran up to, and you would have to mount the rad where the hd cages go.
Overall Review: Love this case. some people complain thast the v2 is all 120's and has none of the 200mm's from v1, but honestly its much better having 120mm. They are the focus of the powers that be that make fans, so all the best fans are 120mm. plus liquid cooling doesn't come in 200mm format. amd fx 6300 @ 4.2 noctua nh-d14 amd radeon 1600mhz ddr3 msi 990fx gd-65 msi gtx 770 4g crucial mx100 512g ssd Seagate 7200rpm 64mb cache 2tb hd corsair tx650w antec1100v2 with 4 cougar silent 120mm fans added
Pros: Runs all my games at 60 fps on a 1440p monitor. Stays cool...really cool. Gaming at 1080p could use stock fan setting of 34% and would never go over 60c. On 1440p had to setup custom fan profile and temps only reach 64c. Quite! Stock fan speed cant be heard over case fans or really at all. Even at 70% on custom fan curve, I cant hear the fans themselves, just the air moving from them and even then only because my current desktop setup has back of case pointing at me.
Cons: Connecting one of the 8 pin power wires is annoying from the heatpipe that sticks out and semi interferes with the connection, tho mostly when removing and not so much when plugging in. I also wonder if the same said heatpipe will damage the 8 pin power connector that's mm's away by design as that heatpipe gets really hot since it direct touches the gpu core and doesn't hit its part of the heat spreader till after it comes close to the 8 pin connector.
Overall Review: Great gaming card. Highly recommend it, even if the 700 series is last years model at this point. 4 gigs of video memory is awesome for 1440p and above resolutions, including multi monitor setups. People were flaming 4g's on a 770 as useless, and it kinda of is for most people. But if u play in better then 1080p its a must have, I have hit over 50% ram usage on a few games, meaning standard 2g wouldn't cut it. amd fx 6300 @ 4.2 noctua nh-d14 antec 1100v2 with 4 cougar 120mm silent case fans added amd radeon 1600mhz ddr3 ram msi 990fx gd-65 mb msi gtx 770 4g crucial mx100 512g ssd Seagate 7200 64mb cache 2tb hd corsair tx650(5+ years and running!)
Pros: Keeps my amd fx 6300 running @ 4.2 max temp of 35c full load. Idles single digits when web browsing or just playing hd video.
Cons: Massive.......if u want to call that a con. wont fit in all cases as many others have said. In my antec 1100v2 case, it sits about 1/4" from side plexiglass panel on the 140mm fan. Cant use tall heat spreaders...but who needs them...see other thoughts.
Overall Review: Awesome cooler, as good or better then most aio liquid cooling solutions. People have complained that on amd boards u have to mount it so that it vents out the top. Not true in my experience. On my msi 990fx gd65 motherboard, it sits just fine venting out the back of the case. I'm not sure if certain cheaper boards will only let you mount it pulling heat from the video card, but in my personal experience I found it to be untrue. Most normal ram will fit under the cooler just fine, and with it drawing lots of air to feed itself right over the top of your ram, temps stay nice and cool on the modules and giant heat spreaders not needed. All and all I would highly recommend this cpu cooler for anyone who wants artic temps and doesn't want the potential hassle of liquid cooling. 4months and rolling
Pros: I decided to try out the amd line of memory due to the fact that I am an amd fanboy for processors. Has lived up to my amd expectations. Amd hits another one out of the park.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Not the cheapest memory on the market. It looks good in the case tho and matches my msi parts for color theme =D I upgrade roughly every 5 years, so I do quite a bit of research on longevity parts and makers. Have high expectations of amd living up to thier high stanards in other parts I have purchased from them and expect these bad boys to stand the test of time
4months of bliss
Pros: 6 cores 95w night and day upgrade over my am2+ 4400+ dual core max temp of 51c on stock cooler so far averages 41-45 gaming and 9-11c idle/web browsing. room ambient temp around 65F
Cons: none
Overall Review: wanted a low heat card and this works admirably. Have had no issues what so ever. Not the most powerful chip out there, but it handles all my needs just fine. Great gaming budget chip if you want to be power/heat conscience and don't want a power hungry 125+w processor.
