Really Nice Case.
Pros: Really Nice Case for lots of hard drives, and fans. I highly recommend this case for building home media servers.
Cons: More room at the top for a liquid cooler heat exchanger.
Pros: Nice form factor, and includes own Bluetooth dongle for devices that do not have one already.
Cons: The driver disk mentioned in the documentation is not provided , and the website of the company is a waste of time trying to find various drivers. I am unable to get it to work with my Satechi Android TV-BOX so far because of some kind of driver issues.
Overall Review: The company who manufactures this needs a better website. I have found a distressing trend as of late with all the Chinese products which is really poor English Language Support !!!
Great Price
Pros: Great Price, and reasonable performance, but would not purchase again.
Cons: Seagate has had reliability issues as of late so i will not be purchasing this unit until a later date when they prove they have resolved all these issues. I have already had a few errors on these drives withing a few months of installation, but since I am using them in a Raid 5 with an internal card, and not the motherboard Raid everything seems to be okay even if there are errors.
Not Sure how this actually works
Pros: Fast when it works.
Cons: This being a refurbished unit I suspect they didn't fix the original issue as it seems to hang often. I am unsure of Vertex's reputation so maybe this is a rare occasion, but it appears this unit was not actually fixed when it was refurbished as it frequently hangs up.
Overall Review: I should have avoided buying a refurbished unit as I suspect the vendors has an issue.
Not Ready for Prime Time
Pros: Nice package and wireless antenna. This unit might someday become a mainstay at which point maybe Netflix and Hulu Plus will actually be fixed. Until then a Chromecast is required to use Netflix without the freezing.
Cons: Really unstable, and does not always power up from remote. Freezes frequently which requires unplugging the power cable as even the reset button does not work. The included remote is almost useless. The Android Tablet or Smartphone application helps but I had to find this on my own. Really poorly supported. Even with the app it still required a two handed approach with the included remote to work where the Android app doesn't. Netflix runs no more than a few minutes before freezing video, and Hulu Plus just crashes on launch so who knows how it would work if it actually launched.
Overall Review: Descent Hardware, but poor OS Support, and to really get this to work you have to be a hacker willing to do your own ROMS
Great bargain monitor
Pros: Nice Work Area when you are running a Virtual machine environment or when it is required to have multiple windows open at once. Also has a switcher built in to allowed 1 each of DVI , RGB and. HDMI so it can actually consolidate three computers
Cons: The display could be crisper, but this is really not that bad considering the price difference is huge between this and the nearest competition, and still at 1920x1080 if you want to go higher resolution the prices is more than triple.
