Can this be hardwired to existing floodlight and does it have facial recognition?

Accepted Answer

It can be installed into an existing floodlight fixture.   In fact that is the easiest way to install it. 
 Unless there has been some major upgrade that I don't know about, there is no facial recognition.

Can this be mounted upside down (under the roof overhang?

Yes, I mounted one for my parents in that fashion.  It wasn’t a problem to flip the image into the correct orientation.  As I recall the hoods that cover each spotlight wouldn’t rotate but it wasn’t a problem since the eve protected it from the elements.

How far away can the unit be from a WiFi source?

It depends on the power and directivity of your wifi router and the building materials used in your house.  My brick house limited the range to about 20 feet from my nearest mesh router.  I got a Chime Pro range extender which substantially extended the range.
