This might be a silly question, but is this item come slotted for mounting on a wall or cabinet?

yes it has mounting holes on the back. It has LED lights that shine on the sides if they bother u like me i just disabled them.

Is the case of this item made of steel or is it like everything else and made of plastic? Due to fire regulations for the complex where I live these type of items must be made of steel. And yes, they do check on things like this. It must be checked and approved before the initial install.

Where is the switch? It does not show up in the specs or the photos. Is the switch adequately protected from accidental bumping?

The switch is next where the power cord attaches to the device, on the side you cant see in the picture. I used to have this on top of my desk, and when it would fall off (due to short cables I have plugged in it),  it would shut off every single time. It now sits on the floor (and since its not falling, I don't have a problem with it). Its not protected from accidental bumping, although the power cord does protect it a little (not much though). I believe that if you have it mounted, or sitting on the floor, it should be fine.

Is there any kind of guarantee with this product? Many surge protectors say they will guarantee the surge protector and replace up to $____ of products which are damaged if it should fail within it's specifications. I can't find any such statement about this product.

Can the green lights be disabled w/o effecting the surge protector?

Disabling the green "protected" light requires opening the case, probably voiding any warranty/guaranty. If you find it annoying, you could always cover it with a piece of electrical tape, I suppose, as it does not emit any heat. Maybe contact Rosewill to get their opinion.

Is this wall-mountable?

The RHSP-13004 is wall mountable. There are 4 keyed slots on the bottom side of the surge protector to support the mounting. No mounting screws are included with the item. BYOS. (Bring your own screws)

Question 9

Just purchased this. Does anyone else notice that the on/off switch is easily turned off compared to other power strips? Doesn't seem to take much pressure. For example, using a fingertip on the on/off button, I can't push the strip (set to ON) without turning it off. However I can push the strip (set to OFF) without turning it on. Wondering if this is normal or if my product is faulty?

I have two of these and the on/off switch on both of them has a very distinct click when turning on or off.  You must have a faulty switch.

Question 10

What is the bandwidth of the coax ports? I.E. will cable broadband, video and OOB data pass through? Actually I wouldn't mind blocking OOB data (like EAS).

I would anticipate that passing your cable internet through the surge protector would slow or interfere with your connection.  Connecting the power connector to the surge protector would be recommended, however not the tv cable.
