How much wall space exactly is needed to for the mount? Does it connect to the wall with that single long crossbeam, or is it the two shorter beams that attach to the wall?

The single cross beam is mounted to the wall. It is 36.5"long. It mounts to at least two preferably 3 studs. The single beam is the only attachment to the wall. The two verticals are attached to the TV. There are shins to attach a TV with a curved back. The two verticals attach and are locked in place when hung. There are two pull cords attached to the verticals for when you need to move it. Been a month and it seems completely secure. Make sure there is adequate space between the seating location and the TV as it cannot be tilted.
