Question 1

Is the mounting post flexible? In the pictures on Newegg the post looks straight, but in pictures on the Rosewill site the post has a 90 degree bend. Is is straight, bent, or flexible?

Hi. it is straight. I haven't used it yet. I took it to Florida as we
are in a Mobil home .and the ant. won't work  in an all metal enclosure like a mobile home. So, will have to install it out  side.

Question 2

Can the amplifier be used if this is used outside?  Where does the power supply plug in?  How long is the power supply cord and the supplied coax cable?

Sorry for the delay.
- Yes the antenna can be used in/outdoor.
- You plug in the power jack at the side of one end of the 9.8 ft coax cable, which is the end that you plug into your TV.  
- You plug the other end of the cable to the antenna which can be outside, exposed to the elements.
- Bottom line: For outdoor setup, the power supply & cable are totally indoor, only the antenna & coax cable are outdoor

How many miles does this thing range from?

I am assuming you are asking at what distance did I receive a signal.   In hilly terrain, I was able to get a decent signal from about 50+ miles for one of the 3 major networks.  Other major stations have their transmiters in other locations, so only one station was available.  Although a couple of local, Christian broaadcast stations came through quite well. We only used this for TV reception while in the process of mooving and not haveing 150+ cable channels available!

Where does the power supply plug in? All I see is a cable connection.

The small amp gets the power, not the antenna itself.  If you don't use the amp you don't need any electrical outlet.  The little amp, though, does make a big difference in the signal strength.

What is range of this antenna?

I only tested it indoor and it wasn't helping at all, the channels were not many and most of them have severe interference, which made image stutter with colored little squares.

I will try it outdoor when I have time to see whether this is a nice looking brick or a real antennae.

not much at all. It 's really only good for getting a halfway steady signal from those stations that are relatively close by, but not QUITE close enough to catch with any dependability on a rabbit ears or other non amplified antenna. It certainly won't pull in stations from more than 70-100 miles away with any type of reliability. Basically you get a small boost in reception from this. Just enough to get you a cleaner signal from the stations you would get an intermittent signal from with your old analog set top antenna . If you live in the sticks and have no local broadcast antennas close by, you may want to consider spending a bit more for something in a good rooftop mount digital antenna. I live about 80 miles from Houston and I can seldom catch a clear signal from any of their local stations for more than a few minutes on this thing.
