Question 1

Have an HPE-590t that I purchased in 2011 with a 160 GB SS drive, but am running out of room for my programs.  Is it easy to upgrade to this 512 GB SS drive and move all of my current C: drive info and make the new drive my C: drive?

It is very easy to upgrade from one drive to another - there are very different ways to do it. 
Here is the easiest way already built into your current version of Windows (If on windows 7 or higher...)
1. If windows 7 or higher you can use the windows backup utility that comes from the operating system.
1. Create a repair disc - this allows you to boot into something called WINPE which is a minified version of the operating system you created the recovery disk from and it allows you to restore a backup onto a new drive.
2. Make sure you 'create a system image'  of the current drive and store it on removable media - do not use the new drive as it will be wiped.
3. The windows help does a great job of explaining what you need and how to do it - simply read 'To restore using a Windows installation disc or a system repair disc' 
4. Finally the program is called 'Backup and Restore'

Before buying this drive make sure that your motherboard supports SATA III otherwise you will not get the full speed of this drive.

Is this item shipped with the SATA to USB adapter, to use with "ONE-STOP INSTALL NAVIGATOR" software?

No Mine Was Not I just plugged mine it into a extra sata port and used Macrium Reflect to clone the disc but they were same size drives if the ssd you are installing is larger you can extend it after install just leave about 10% for over provisioning and after install I moved all the down picture documents games etc and temp tmp windows, users and internet explorer to 2 velociraptors in a striped array so as not to write a lot to the ssd but that's an option

It's a solid state drive and can be used in any orientation as there are no moving parts. The "3D Vertical" is a reference to how the memory is stacked.

I have a HP/Compact laptop with the low watt 1.35 w 4510 U processor, I have already outfitted it with 8 gigs of RAM  from you guys thinking it would speed it up but my tech guy said that this low watt processor will only do so much. Q? IYHO  will replacing the HD with a SSD achieve anything more than quick starts? No gaming here, mainly Netflix / streaming video and internet but it still buffers and some pixsolates  of the time... Thank you!

buffer/pixelation is due to network congestion or insufficient bandwidth, and has little to do with your disk i/o, remember you are streaming the content from the internet, not your Hard Drive.

However, the first upgrade you do should be to replace the hard drive with a SSD, this will improve overall system responsiveness, not just starts/restarts, and has a dramatic impact on non-gaming tasks like launching apps, file searches, etc.  Get the SSD even if it does not improve netflix

No, vertical technology is how the data is stored on the nand memory that is in the ssd drive has nothing to do with how you mount it.   You will want to pick up a ssd drive tray of you a replacing a regular sized hard drive

Can the Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SATA III run my Windows desktop?

Yes, if your desktop computer uses SATA drives then you can use this drive.   Most computers manufactured in the last 7-8 years use SATA

I have a 3 year old Lenovo ThinkPad T420s (model 4170CTO) with the standard Hitachi 300GB HDD.  I love the machine, but would like to upgrade to a larger SSD.  Can you confirm if the Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD drive will work in my PC, without any modifications?  Thanks!

I don't have mine in a laptop.  It was too expensive for my old laptop and went with a hybrid drive. I am using it in a tower I built with I7 4ghz. Running dual boot Win 7 and Lynix on this drive using 2 Tera hd for data. It's screams and is stable. I use regular hd connection.  Had a m2 slot but it was twice as much. Newer connection are faster but considering ssd vs hd it's still huge difference with old connection.  I have heard don't use sleep type modes. Backup more often. Windows experience 7.8..top of scale. It should extend life of laptop

Will the cloning software enable one to easily swap system drives?  Ex. Clone my current Win7 Pro Drive to the SSD and then simply plug and play?

Yes it is very simple.  Connect the SSD to the system via a sata cable or usb to sata cable.  Boot into windows and install and launch Samsungs cloning application.  Click which drive you want to clone and let it do its thing.  Once it is done,  disconnect your old drive and plug the new drive in its place.  Windows should boot right up.  Run the Windows Experience index in the computer properties so that windows will know you're on an ssd now.

Does this ssd come with the Samsung data migration kit?
I plan on installing in my HP Envy M6-1105DX, I just reinstalled windows (factory restore) a month ago, and I don't want to have to go through a fresh install again.

The drive comes bare, nothing else except brochure.  Data migration software is available on Samsung's website....owners & support/manuals & downloads/pick model number, link for download is visible after you expand the download section.

If you mean is there hardware included...data cable, etc.....then no on that.

Question 10

I have the Samsung 840 Pro  MZ-7pd256BW 2.5" 256GB SATA III internal solid state hard drive.  I want to go to a 512GB dirve.  Can this be installed in my computer?  My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z87-DS3H LGA 1150.  Since I purchased all of my components for my computer from newegg, I thought you help me with this info.

George this drive uses a Sata III just like your existing drive so it should be good. Additionally it comes with samsung software for transferring existing data onto it from an existing drive if you plan on replacing your existing SSD with it (instead of running both parallel).
