Does this come with the SATA data cable or do I need to purchase one?

You'll need to buy a SATA cable that is 6gbs/SATA 3.0  AND a mounting bracket if you dont already have one. Be sure the SATA cable is also the correct length as well.

Does this come with cloning software? I'm needing a larger drive since my computer is full.

You download their Data Migration software from their website.  It has to run under Windows and requires both drive connected at the same time.  If you can't have them both online at once, you'll need to find something that lets you image to a separate drive and has a boot disk to do the restore.

You can use this with either a laptop or desktop computer. The system RAM rating (DDR3) makes no difference when it comes to solid-state drives.

If you're using in a desktop, this drive is physically much smaller than typical 3.5" form factor hard drives, so you may need an adapter to secure it into a space meant for physically larger drives.

Is this a good replacement for a Seagate st31500341as hard Drive? Also will i need an adapter to replace the internal 3.5" desktop HDD

Yes it definitely is, you will see crazy startup speed, i suggest that you install OS in the SSD and for the HDD your personal files. If you have a modern desktop case it should have support for 2.5” SSD. Hope this helps

Can I replace my HHD in my Samsung laptop with this SSD, and is it  very difficult to do?

Assuming it is the same form factor it is doable and will make a large difference in performance of the computer.  The only difficulty is installing in the laptop, most are difficult to open.  Many tiny screws and snap together parts.  Youtube for demo of how to open your exact or very similar model.  Let that determine whether you want to tackle, or hire local shop to install.  Samsung website for drives has good free utility to transfer data before you disassemble and install new drive, should boot right up after swap.

What is the difference between the 850 model?

The 860 is brand new, has a newer controller and is rated to have slightly faster read speeds (550MB/s vs 540MB/s) and double the guaranteed rated endurance of the 850 EVO (300TB TBW vs 150TB TBW).

If I do the RAID 0 with other brand of SSD such as Kingstone, does the Samsung Magician recognize my SSD?

If you are doing software raid such as that built-in to Windows, then yes Magician will read the drive. If doing hardware raid via a Raid controller then no, the  OS cannot see the drive.  Some raid controllers will let you see SMART values from the drive via the controllers management utility but that's it.

Will this work in an HP Pavillion laptop, L100JL6V?  Strangely, Crucial didn't have a cross for my Pavillion.

Can't tell what your specs are based on the model listed. This SSD drive is a sata style SSD. If your laptop has a standard 2.5" sata hard drive / ssd drive bay then it should work fine. If you're trying to replace an M.2 drive then you'll need a different style of SSD.
