What is the difference between the EVO 860 and EVO 860 Pro?

There is a slight difference in size (e.g. 250GB vs 256GB) and performance, but the primary difference is increased endurance on the pro models. They both have a 5 year warranty, but since SSDs have a limited number of writes, you are covered for 4 times as many writes on the Pro models. (e.g. 75TB for the 250GB EVO vs 300TB for the 256GB Pro). If you write a lot of data or are looking for the longest possible lifetime, go with the pro. Otherwise save your money and get the EVO. I use the Pro models at work, and the EVO models at home.

Will this fit an Optiplex 390 Small Form Factor? Would I need to upgrade anything else along with it?

Yes however you’ll want an adapter. The installed drive is most likely 3.5” and this SSD is 2.5”. They have plenty of inexpensive adapters on the Newegg site. The actual drive connections/cables will work.

Compatible with 27" iMac (mid 2010)? Super specific, but I am new to mac and need to upgrade to ssd to get the performance I want out of this old machine.

The Samsung 860 Pro Series SSD is compatible with MAC OSX.
