Pros: I purchased the Samsung HD204UI drive in April 2011 for use in Ubuntu/MythTV. The drive worked well for this use until January 2012.
Cons: One night the drive filled the log files with a few GB of read errors. No success with fsck repairing the errors. Moved the drive to a Windows PC and it fails Seatools tests. No SMART errors though. Tried to reformat in Windows, but didn’t complete successfully. Sent back to Seagate for an RMA.
Overall Review: I also use a Samsung 1.5 TB HD154UI purchased January 2010 and it still works fine.
