I am a T-Moile customer. can i use my current T-Mobile plan with this new device?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You just need to get a microSIM card from T-Mobile if your current one is a full size SIM.  They will give you a new card for your current T-Mobile number for free.  If your current SIM card is a micro, i.e., 15 mm x 12 mm, you just put it in the phone and it will work.

Can I use this phone with t-Mobile's wi-fi calling?

My wife has this phone but doesn't use the Wi-Fi calling feature. It does have an option to enable Wi-Fi calling in the settings menu though, so I'm pretty sure it is supported.

Can I use this as T-mobile - prepaid ?

Yes, I am doing so right now. My old prepaid sim was the wrong size so i inserted the one in the box, called T-Mobile customer service and they switched my number and minutes pretty quickly and easily. I like the phone, only downside so far is it doesn't seem to grab the signal quite as well as my old Exhibit II.

Yeah it's new. Comes in a box with a thick manual and home charger. The Car Charger is bagged separately. The MyCharge can be charged by usb on your computer and the usb cable is built in so you don't need to get one. I think the MyCharge came boxed with a small manual. Be prepared for about an half to an hour to set up the phone with samsung login, android login, and other social media nonsense.

Yes, ours did.  Please note that this phone uses the full-size SIM card, not the mini (micro?) SIM that some other new phones have started using.

It has 8GB of internal memory already, but if you're asking if it comes with an additional memory card that can be removed, then no.  Not as far as we can tell.  This phone was actually a Christmas gift for my brother and he loves it.

this cell phone is a unlocked phone?

Negative. This phone is locked to T-Mobile out of the box. I can't speak to unlocking for another carrier. I will say that it recognized the T-Mobile network right away, and that it comes with an enhanced SIM, which is smaller than the SIM I had in my previous T-Mobile flip phone. Activation was easy through my T-Mobile account.

The specs say the standby time on the battery is 460 hrs and talk time is 12.5 hours.  My battery has gone from 100% to 75% overnight with no usage.  Is this normal?  You know I turned off the wifi, the gps and reduced the brightness to save battery power.

It does not seem normal. I usually charge mine during the night but I saw your question and decided to test it. I had mine already charged at 100% at midnight and it got down to 91% at 11 am next morning. I had the GPS off, but WiFi and BT were on. The notification bar was showing it had updated a couple of apps, had downloaded a bunch of emails, a notification from Facebook, and current weather info in GoogleNow. It looks like you had some process running and trying to connect but could not.  Try leaving the WiFi on and see if the result is better. Also clear the list of the recent apps (press and hold the home button). This may clear some remaining process that otherwise would be running in the background and draining the battery.
I have noticed my battery discharging fast occasionally after using Maps and Navigation.  The lats time I arrived at the destination and I just turned the display off. At that location, the T-Mobile's coverage was weak, there was no WiFi and no GPS signal inside the building either. I think the reason for the quick battery discharge was that it was trying to get location info and could not get it through GPS, WiFi or mobile data. The phone was noticeably warmer than normal.

yes, you can use GPS without Sim Card and offline without WIFI 
but you need WIFI to load maps and find direction

This is a locked phone. You can pay certain website for a unlock code or sign up with T-mobile and wait for the required time period before asking them for a free unlock code.
