what's the aesthetic condition of the tablets?  Do they have minor scratches and wear and tear, or is it in like new condition?

Mine arrived with minute scuff marks on the back, near the base. I had to really look hard to see them, so I have no complaints about the physical condition.

Does it come with original charger and USB cable?

Mine came with original box, charger and cord. It did not have the User guide, but you can download one online at Samsung. It has been working extremely well, the only thing that I bought was a plastic glass shield and a folio to keep the tablet safe from everyday wear and tear.

Is this upgradable to kitkat?

Mine came rooted with a custom version of the 4.2.2. ROM, which invalidated me for OTA updates. I did not want the device rooted because I knew with Kit Kat came Knox, which would immediately trip the warranty void flag shown in Download Mode. I managed to download the stock ROM from the tablet's initial release, flash it, reset the existing (pre Knox) flash counter to zero, and reinstall all of the apps I had installed before discovering it was rooted. However, the tablet still shows as modified and would not let me perform an OTA update. Thankfully, the Kies software will force a firmware update, even on tablets that will not perform an over the air update, so I was able to get mine up to the Kit Kat release without tripping the Knox counter. If you do not have the SU (Super User) app installed in your app drawer when you take it out of the box, chances are it is not rooted (most rooting methods install this app be default), so you should have no trouble upgrading to Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat.

This is a tablet not a phone. This model is wifi only. The tablet performs amazingly. Great battery life especially for a quad processor. Updated to Android 4.4 without any problems. Definitely recommend. 5 stars.
