I need to replace 2 internal hard drives for MacPro3,1 (2008). Is this compatible, or please suggest others up to 1T?

I cannot say specifically to your MacBook - I was under the impression the MacBooks use 2.5" HDD and SSD; this is a 3.5" HDD which would not fit in most normal laptops. I would recommend a 2.5" drive unless you know for sure your laptop can handle a 3.5".

With desktops this is an otherwise solid drive though. there are better drives, but this is usually on sale which is where its true value comes from. If you can afford it a 64MB cache/7200rpm black drive is preferred (HDD). Solid State Drives (SSDs) are much faster but hold less memory and are very expensive.

The RK stands for Retail Kit. Not only does it have the power and data cables, but the warranty is longer.

So I am not new to PC gaming, but I have never build my own PC. If you guys could help me out with this that would be great.
Here's the specs,

GeForce GTX 750 Ti
ADATA (2x4gb) ram
AMD FX-8320 
Gigabyte GA-990 FXA-UD3 ATX AM#+ motherboard

and this is where I need help. So I watched a youtube video and this guy said to get an ADATA Premier Pro sp900 128GB 2.5" AND a Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" for storage... But could I just get the Seagate 1TB hard drive instead? Is there something special about the first two? Do I need to have both in order for the computer to run? Or could I get the 1TB and have the computer run the same but have more storage? I am just confused and an answer to this question would help me understand things.

I've built several computers and they all have two hard drives. The ADATA Premier Pro is a solid state drive. These type drives almost always have faster read and write times thus processing data faster than a traditional disk hard drive. You can get a larger solid state drive but it's going to cost you more. The second hard (Seagate Barracuda) drive would be for data storage only like music, videos, pictures documents etc. The solid state drive is where you would download Windows and all of your software and games. You'll have to do some tweaking after you install your drives. There are a lot of good websites with good information on how to do this. Google "Sean's Windows 7 Install and Optimize" It has a link for Windows 8 also.

Question 4

Can this be used to replace an old, dying Barracuda 7200.7 80GB Dell OEM unit?  Is it a drop in, format, install Windows XP kinda drive or is there more to it?

If this is not a good replacement, can you recommend what I should get?

Nope won't work ! I believe you have IDE interface and this drive has SATA interface. I'm assuming you need a larger hard drive . When searching Newegg for a replacement make sure you choose IDE as your interface. They stock several sizes and price points. As far installation there are several good hard drive replacement softwares which moves everything or you can do a clean install which deletes ALL of your data and you'll have to install XP and  your programs plus your data. MAKE SURE YOU BACK YOUR STUFF UP !! Might be a good time to upgrade to Windows 7 .

Your question is too vague. It's like asking how to install an engine in an car.

Look up the brand/model you have and see if they have instructions on installing/replacing a HDD. The best thing to do is have someone close to you, that is familiar, show you how it's done. This way you can ask questions, as you will have many.

If it has a 3.5" form factor available slot yes. Do note that this is a blank hard disk drive. If you're buying this to replace your C Drive you need to have an appropriate version of windows and do some other things to transfer files. If you're looking to simply add another drive then as long as you have an available SATA slot on the motherboard, and 3.5" form slot available it should be fine.

I would like to add storage capability to a Dell Vostro 420.  Currently, the device manager shows a ST3250310AS hard drive with 139 gig capacity.  Will this hard drive work?

Yes, this HDD will work or any as long as is Sata interface and 3.5" form factor or smaller if you like to get a SSD as long as you get a adapter plate to hold your SSD. Your computer model has a LGA775 Socket motherboard  that should support up to Sata II speeds which are up to 3.0Gb/s  transfer speeds. However you can buy Sata III HDD with 6.0Gb/s tranfer speeds but it will cap the HDD speed at Sata II speeds(3.0Gb/s).
