It is the same size as any standard internal hard drive but you need to make sure that your pc has a SAS controller. I am guessing that it does not. SAS and SATA are different. So in short, no, it will probably not work in your pc.

Depends what controller you using. If you installing to a enterprise server is a plug and play if comes with SAS drive. But you can't install this SAS drive to a SATA controller motherboard even if you get the SAS to SATA cable. If you putting this drive to a home desktop with a SATA controller motherboard u need a PCIe RAID controller card that uses SAS or NON-RAID controller card. Them you need a 1 x SFF-8088 Mini SAS cable. No. Your Dell is using SATA hard drives. This one is SAS - you won't even be able to plug this HDD in - connector is different...

I just bought 5 of these ( it was a processing error) and I am trying to make the best use of them. I also bought a SATA drive. I would like to set them up as game server in a fast, redundant RAID interface. I'm not sure how I should go about this. I know I need a new motherboard, I have about 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM, a 650 Watt power supply, a decent graphics card (Nvidia). I will need a raid controller as well. I know enough about computers to set up whatever but I haven't set up a server before. I want to be able to use this as my primary PC but I do not necessarily need to run my OS off of these drives, they can be dedicated to the server. ?

Either use three drives together in a RAID 5 configuration, or use 4 drives in a RAID 0+1 configuration.  It depends on what your RAID controller will support.  Keep the extras as spares.
