That's a good question. I think the warranty with Newegg is only for a short period of time. But I believe Seagate warranties the drive for 1 year or so. Quite frankly, the drive is so cheap, if it fails (I've had very good success with Seagate drives in my NAS and other applications like on my desktop PC), you could simply buy another one since they are very inexpensive at Newegg anyway.

I just received an email response from goHardDrive Inc. They said the drives are OEM "New" with a 3 year warranty through their company. Hope this helps all who were wondering.
