Is this a SATA drive or did I order a wrong one for my Synology 1513+?

I believe this is a SAS drive - not SATA. The connectors are different.  If your motherboard's controller is SATA then this won't work with it.

SAS drives are faster. You may be able to find an adapter, but I've never tried that. You can also buy a controller card to plug into an unused slot in your MB.

Are these drives actually new?

The ones that I purchased were not new, but according to Smart they had very low hours.  They been in use for two years without any issues.

the drivers are showing as a zero capacity how can i solve this issue ?

Are you referring to software drivers?  If yes, I have no experience with that because it is OS-dependent.  If you meant the drives, then contact the seller since that is an error.

What cable do I need to connect this as 2nd hdd internall in PC?

We use these in SAS enclosures attached to our server.  PCs tend to use SATA drives.  To put SAS drives in a PC you would first need an SAS controller PCIe card, then you would need a SFF-8482 cable.  Make sure your power supply has enough molex connectors, or you will need adapters for this as well.  Hope this helps.

OK I have a RS2BL080 intel raid controller. I see I can buy a SFF8087 to 4x SFF8482 cable to hook up 4 SAS 4TB drives to this controller. ( or for that matter 8 drives with 2 cables ).
But the alternative is a SAS backplane. Could anyone give me a few recommendations on a back plane to purchase instead of using the cable that fans out?
