What is the firmware on this drive ?

There is no way to know without having access to the hard drive, but many drive manufacturers will allow you to download specific firmware from their website and flash it onto the drive. They will provide specific instructions for flashing to their drives on their website, and you should take great caution in following their instructions exactly to avoid ruining your drive and voiding its warranty.

- Is this correct? This model number on the Seagate documents shows as not capable of SED & FIPS; however your website show that it is. You can find the documentation for this product quite easily though.

On the front page of the manual you linked it clearly indicates this is a "standard drive". Due to the additional hardware needed to support SED features you can rest assured that if you can't find any details clearly indicating this is a SED capable drive, it isn't. Also, just for future reference, FIPS is not a capability, its only a collection of encryption standards and best data security practices.
