Pros: Runs cool, was detected by Win7 x64 immediately, hasn't done anything strange in 6 months of continuous use as a movie and TV storage drive. Streams HD movies throughout my network without a hitch. 5400 RPM doesn't hold back the SATA speed at all -2TB movies transfer in less than a minute. Price is not bad for such a versatile 1TB drive.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Got it for a laptop but realized its size was better suited to media storage when my other hard drive started filling up. Best decision I could have made as it transfers large files quickly and plays movies and TV shows in full HD with any media player I choose.
Pros: Price was decent on sale. Wouldn't pay more than this for a 5400 RPM drive. Warranty is good
Cons: Still a little pricey for a slower notebook drive. Hopefully prices will come down more. About the same specs as everyone else's 5400 RPM drives.
Overall Review: Got this on sale when the price first came down to use in an external USB 2.0 housing I picked up. Just something to carry around to move files. Works in that regard, which is about all 5400 RPM drives are good for, even for laptops.
Pros: Bought this HDD to use in my new PS3 slim. Worked right out of the box and my PS3 loves it. I'm more or less buying games off the PSN now and storing them all on the HDD plus a bunch of 1080p movies.
It does everything I bought it for.
Cons: Nothing bad to say, it simply works.
Overall Review: Thinking of buying another one as a secondary for my new laptop.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Data corrupts EVERY time PS4 is shut off improperly or unplugged without COMPLETELY shutting it down. I can't find any information anywhere about why this is happening, whether it's compatibility or what, but I'm giving one-egg because these should be rated for performance on consoles. Would have saved me a TON of headaches over this.
Pros: I needed something extra to go with my SSD 256G drive and this drive was a perfect fit for the price and the size. Installed pretty quickly and worked well right out of the box.
Cons: Didn't come with screws, luckly I had some lying around but it wasn't OEM so I'm not sure why no screws were shipped. For that, 1 egg is lost.
Overall Review: For the price it's a pretty good deal.
Pros: I BOUGHT A SEAGATE HDD BECAUSE THEY ARE SO RESILIENT, MINE IS PROOF, IT WAS SHIPPED TERRIBLY AND STILL WORKS.
Cons: I have been a long time lover of Newegg! I have bought a variety of goodies over the years, hard drives, video cards, etc.. I'm writing about my most recent Newegg experience to warn others of the terrible road Newegg is now embarking on. My most recent order was a 1 terabyte Seagate 2.5" internal hard drive to upgrade my PS3. Now the terrible part begins, the box used for shipping was 6 times larger than the HDD box and NO PACKING material was used. It was literally a square foot box with a tiny little 2.5" HDD thrown into it and shipped out. It was so bad that all the labels on the HDD box had wear marks on them from sliding around so much. I opened the box and was FURIOUS, what kind of computer person would package such a sensitive part like that?? Needless to say my Newegg days have come to an end, permanently. I WILL NEVER TRUST NOR ORDER FROM NEWEGG EVER AGAIN AND I'M SPREADING THE WORD. Its actually makes me sad, Newegg is a great site but behind the scenes just a complete wreck. I have switched to AM.-.A.-.ZON, FRY'S, AND TIGER DIRECT. Farewell NEWEGG..P.S. to date, with photos I have shown friends you have lost 9 long standing customers, they are branching out to their friends as well.....I now NEWEGG even more I cannot say AM.-.A.-.ZON as one word. Good riddance NEWEGG!
Cons: Drive was slow, MBP Seemed to drop battery faster with this drive installed.
Overall Review: With regards to my Cons... Keep in mind that this drive completely died on me after 2 weeks of extreme light use, possibly 16 hours total and I seriously think that's pushing it. Even though the drive went down hill in a days period, it may have been a faulty drive from the get go which may account for the slight battery drainage and slow-poor performance. Not sure if I'll try another or go with a WD.
