So i just received this product recently and was very excited. I even went all-out, cleaning and removing dust (Even changing the liquid paste on my cpu!)... Anywho, I very obviously have this HDD installed correctly, and it is receiving power & has the proper drivers installed, yet it is failing to show up in Disk Manager and in Windows Explorer... I've been looking ALL over the internet for the solution, yet i can't find a single one that works.

Any idea as to why it isn't working? Is there a limitation to my motherboard for a maximum amount of hard drives/CD drives? Is there something physically wrong with the HDD? It sounds alright, and my 'driver status' in device manager says there is no issue. I've tried setting it up as a new (Unformatted) drive, but it won't even show up. /endrant

I kinda had the same issue with the exception that I couldn't format it as Windoze 7 Pro 64bit would give me an error of like X0800,,, blah blah... Long story short, I tried it on another PC and it worked fine although that was NOT the PC it was intended to be used on. So, I checked my BIOS version and it was something like 5 or 6 generations old as it was version 0406 for my ASUS P6T mobo. I went and found the latest version and flashed it and then it worked just fine. I was able to install W7PRO/64bit with all the drivers and I am a happy camper with my i7 CPU and all the glorious power it has to offer. Very puzzling though... just glad it worked afterwards.
