High Efficiency, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified

Smart and Silent Fan Control

Improved Compatibility
with the Latest Intel
and AMD Platforms

Pros: First of all this is a standard 650W PSU which will be sufficient for average users and gamers. + 650W Provide plenty of power for system with High End GPU E.g Titan XP, Radeon VII. + Cables are long and covered in black sleeves. Some of the sata Cables are Flat and are very flexible for cable management. + This model uses 120mm Globe Fan Sleeve Bearing with Seasonic S2FC home made fan controller which does a good job at keeping it quiet under nominal Load. But it is always spinning and there is no QUIET mode. + Normal Operating temperate is 40c but (advertised maximum temp of 105c, something to observe).
Cons: Negative: S12III just like it's predecessor the S12II is built on older and outdated platform compared to the more efficient DC to DC topography. This PSU is not even built my SEASONIC. It is outsourced and manufactured by RSY. Seasonic S12III proudly claims this PSU is uses 100% Japanese Capacitors. Just got the PSU today and one look revealed the shadiness. Seasonic's own spec sheet says ALL JAPANESE caps as well. https://seasonic.com/pub/media/pdf/consumer/datasheet/S12III-GB3.pdf. Truth of the matter is Season has utilized lower grade TEAPO branded capacitors. You cannot trust the claimed 105c rating on these capacitors. For those who don't know, TEAPO branded capacitors are Taiwanese, but made in China! Their caps used to leak like there's no tomorrow. Teapo branded capacitors are used is many low end PSU for OEM. Now they're getting better, but still nowhere near Japanese caps. Most of the secondary capacitors around this board are also Teapo branded capacitors. Seasonic is misleading customers with cheaper components. Seasonic selected lower tier components on this PSU. It gets better. Seasonic used 100% teapo cap (LH,SC series), LLC converter use a monolithic HR1000A controller (amerika brand) , relay bypass NTC and ic supervisor is GR8313. BTW GR8313 does NOT provide OCP for minor rails. This PSU lacks and provides no OTP or OCP which are over-temperature or over-current protection (missing very important and critical features) !!! Seasonic is a good brand and they make PSU components for many other brands but they clearly mislabeled this PSU. For similar price tag there are far better options. I would steer away from this PSU and go with other reputable brand. Seasonic cut corners when they are not the OEM and outsource the manufacturing of PSU to 3rd party and used lower tier components.
Overall Review: - There is a good reason Seasonic is depleting the stock via frequent sales on this model. Components used are of far lower grade then advertised. - Rebate was filed and there has been no acknowledgement that Season has received it yet. - I am still learning more about this PSU and there is not much good to say.
