what's the front face like - is it really smooth/glossy? or is it more matte/textured? i need one with a textured face to match the front of my case.

It's matte black but smooth rather than textured, I have the cooler Master haf lanbox and I think it matches with that well enough! Good luck finding exactly what you need!

What's the face like? is it glossy/shiny? or is it more rough/textured. The problem i have with these things is i can't tell and last time received the wrong one. I need the more textured face to match my case.

It's been a while since I built my computer but as I remember it's more of a flat black no texture to it really

Is this for use with 35BAYUSB3s4 or is it part of 35BAYUSB3s4B ?

This bracket should be compatible with any 3.5" device. It's simply an adapter to go from 5.25" to 3.5". I bought it because the case I had didn't have any external 3.5" bays. I put in a Roswill flash card reader. It worked fine.
