Is the heat sink socket narrow type or square type?

Its normal 2011v3 not slim server socket so therefore any type of heatsink that supports 2011 socket can be used.

Which heatsink should I order with this Mobo for use with Intel Xeon E5-2683 V4 CPU?

I used a Corsair H80 series water cooler. Just look at the CPU fans section, and drill down by 2011 v3. One of the cheap cooler masters, like the 212 evo, would perform fine assuming you have the room in the case.

Does the motherboard support vps support?

Virtual Private Server is software driven -- called virtualization. Whereas I only use this as a single machine, I'm sure I could run the software.

Can  this house 4 Nvidia V100's? I know it has 4 PCI3 x 16's , still wanted to be sure.

This motherboard fits three two slot PCI-E cards; the lower slot is unable to accommodate a fourth card in my experience. There is a heat sink behind the PCI-E slots which is low enough for the back of the GPU to pass over. I use this MB with 3 1080TI cards, occupying the top 3 slots.

Does this board support non-ECC memory?

We only tested ECC registered and  unbuffered memory. Both types work. Non-ECC modules should not work based on the Chipset (C612).

Can i post with an E5-2600 V4 processor to update the BIOS? I'm guessing no, but waiting is frustrating so i thought i would ask. Thanks for your help!

The new boards ordered from newegg.com come with BIOS 2.0 which supports V4 already. No need to do any upgrade.

It's a new motherboard. Does not have a M.2 slot. I've stopped using my board in favor of using a "real" server board but It worked well while it was in service

X10SRA doesn't support Nvidia SLI technology.

Specs say four of the USB 3.0 slots can be upgraded to USB 3.1 (10Gbps rather than 6Gbps); however, this is listed as a "BOM option for OEM only," whatever that's supposed to mean.

Is it possible to get one of these motherboards with the USB 3.1 upgrade?
