I have an older TV where my antenna is connected to my VCR then to the TV. Currently when I am watching, the image will pixelate and then I lose the signal. Does this antenna help to avoid this? And will it work with an older TV like mine?

The only thing that will make the pixelating better is if you can provide a better signal, i.e. a better antenna. If you already are using a rooftop antenna with an amplifier, or are in an area with a strong signal, then the problem is probably in the sensitivity of the digital tuner. In other words, you may need a newer tv with a better digital tuner. If you are still using a digital to analog converter get rid of it and buy a newer tv. By the way, there is no such thing as a digital antenna. Don't get hoodwinked by a sales pitch. The antenna simply has to receive the signal properly, VHF or UHF. Digital transmission didn't change any of that.

how many miles does it cover?

I live approximately 20-25 miles from three network stations. I can pull all three 90% of the time. when I can't, if I re-position the antenna I can recceive the stations. I would give it four stars.
