Are the USB ports USB 2 or 3?

Both are USB 3.0 -- the yellow one supports charging while the PC is shut down (as long as there is power supplied to the PC of course).

Question 2

There is no DVD drive.  I would assume that any external drive would work but I don't like to assume.  Is that true??

Yes, any external DVD drive should work. I personally copy anything I will need to the network or a USB thumbdrive instead. If you NEED to DVD a lot though, there is actually a DVD add-on drive for these ThinkCentere Tiny PCs. It mounts to the side and I believe the part number is 4XA0H03972.

Question 3

I like this PC and might order it. But I would like to also get the bracket that attaches it to the back of the monitor. The question is - do I need to buy the Lenovo monitor with the mounting bracket, or can I get a universal bracket to mount it to the back of a monitor and if so, does the monitor need to have any particular type of stand?  Also, will this PC support dual monitors (extended desktop)? We have monitor stands that hold 2 monitors, and it would be really cool to mount the PC on the dual-monitor stand.

I love these little PCs and have two dozen peppered around our offices and production floor.  Yes, they support two monitors running on extended desktop.  I have one monitor running VGA and the second running HDMI and both work with no issues.
Regarding mounting behind the monitor, it depends on the monitor.  Many monitors have the standard VESA threaded holes on the back and if yours do, the bracket will happily mount the PC there if you buy the Lenovo bracket made for this PC (they used to come supplied :(.  Some of my users have theirs setup that way and the only two limitations that I see are 1) it may be difficult to reach around to press the on button, but the nice thing is that the newer PCs have the "Control-P" keyboard function that turn the thing on without the need to reach around and press the ON button on the PC; and 2) the VGA/HDMI cable is then way too long and you have to wrap it around or tie it back (not a big issue, just not tidy).

Question 4

Hi, do these computers have the VGA and Display port on the back of them?  Need the Display port also for dual monitor capabilities.

This computer isn't set up for dual monitor.  We use this in an office setting daily and it works great but not powerful or expandable to support dual monitor.  Also I was concerned about possible overheating however I'm pleased to say that it hasn't been an issue even in the low air flow environment.  Hope this helps.

How is the speed for the internet?

Overall, I believe the speed to be great. Either thru the Wi-Fi or the LAN directly. Of course, it all does depend on what your network configuration is along with network speed in general. The machines are quick, small and seem to be rock solid!

Question 6

What support for external screens does this have? like VGA or DVI or HDMI?

The main display port is VGA. There are numerous USB connections, so you could do a USB adapter for a second display if needed.

Question 7

Isn't this machine supposed to have Windows 7 Pro installed?
I just got it and the label on the back says 'Windows 8 Pro' and recovery discs are also for Windows 8, although the Newegg page lists it as Windows 7 Pro. I specifically wanted Windows 7 Pro machine and now I'm not sure what I got...

Our machine came w/ Win8 discs however Win7Pro was pre-installed. Depending on what you actually purchased it either has "downgrade" rights for the Win7Pro or it was just pre-installed w/ Win7Pro. Kinda complicated but you really have to read the fine print on the specs prior to purchase.

I am assuming the computer doesn't have an wireless adopter.
Does the installed OS comes with window eyes and Microsoft Office.
If so what versions?
Does the computer have a HDMI port ?
AND how many USB ports does the computer have?.

Mine came with windows 8 64 bit, don't know about window eye, did NOT come with office (only a trial)

Has at least 4 3.0 usb, and I think 4 2.0 usb (3.0 usbs are blue)  Has two 3.0 usb on top and two on the back, 4 2.0 usb on the back

I like this unit.. If you wanted to add an 8 gig memory stick to it, which one would you add?

Enter the model number into any memory manufacturer's website, such as Kingston, Crucial, etc.  It will tell you what you need.  I do know that the Tiny uses SODIMM chips, like what you find in a laptop.
