This is a 2.5" drive, as is your current drive. It is an appropriate replacement. This drive will come to you uninitialized and will need to be prepared to receive files after you do the very simple hardware installation. That drive preparation is also very simple and there are many tutorials (both written and video) on the net. Study the steps before you replace your current drive.

I'm not sure but as long as you have the HD out and all the functions match such as rpm, cache, sata or not then actual Gb generally don't matter. Having the model number usually don't help because you need the physical HD to tell what the motherboard can handle. That's what I do. This wasn't an exact match in Gbs to the original but everything else matched. Hope that helps.
