Question 1

Can this be used for gaming also or strictly a/v? I have a 1.5 TB i used for everything atm but i'd like to get another drive just for storing my games. I was thinking i could use this drive for that or use it to store everything but my games and use my 1.5 TB for my games only.

This is not listed as a video surveillance drive at WD, though that is one of it's possible uses. According to the WD website, the WD-AV series is actually listed as Media Server/DVR streaming drives. For the past 4 years, I have used them in my server and they stay cool, are extremely quiet and just work great.
They have now com out with the Purple drive which is geared directly for video surveillance, leaving a gaping hole in the DVR market, imo.
Though not it's intended/designated purpose, should be fine with this drive for what you stated you will be using it for.

Question 2

Is that 4 pin connector on the hard drive for anything. I've been looking everywhere and cant find what it is or does. Take it easy on me this is my first build?  HELP?

It doesn't do anything useful, and probably nothing you're interested in doing. The pins can allow for the use of older Molex power connectors, or force the drive to operate in SATA 1 mode, or allow the drive to operate in test mode.

Question 3

Curious about the speed of this drive...does it spin at 7200 RPM, or something slower like 5400?

Question 4

Is this a SATA 6Gb/s, 3.5 inch, 1TB disk or a SATA 3Gb/s, 2.5 inch of up to 500GB as stated in the overview? The overview threw me off a little, I think it's some kind of an error. The specs say it's a 1TB, SATA III disk. Thanks!

I ordered one of these back on Aug 1. It is a 1TB 6Gb/s recerified 3.5" hard drive.
