Pros: Upgraded my Eyefinity setup from an HD 5770 to this 6950, much better performance, runs Dirt 3 at 6018x1024 with all settings at High at a minimum frame rate of 42 during the benchmark.
Cons: I had purchased an Active DisplayPort adapter for the last card and though I could get away with a cheap DisplayPort->Mini DisplayPort adapater but it didn't work. Had to buy a new Active Mini DisplayPort adapter. Had to relocate my hard drive in my Antec 300 case, this card is pretty big.
Overall Review: I knew about the mail-in rebate and the free copy of DX:HR, but once I registered the warranty on XFX's website, they also gave me a code for a free copy of Dirt 3. Nice surprise.
Pros: -Dual fan heat sink keeps it running really cool and quiet -Overclocking beast! I have it at 955mhz, 1430mhz, and 1299V no problems -Runs all games within the last year maxed out -will run Witcher 2 at 52 FPS with a low of 38 FPS -great looking (I know that doesn't really matter)
Cons: -Will not unlock to 6970 without the BIOS switch, but with the overclocking capabilities it is not so bad of a con
Overall Review: Comes with Dirt 3, Shogun 2, AND Deus Ex!
Pros: The card stays cool enough. Haven't really stressed it too much. Waiting for BF3 and then we will see. GTA4 plays well. CS:Source is at 299 fps pretty much consistantly. SimCity 4 with maxed out settings is still laggy on the really big city regions, it wasn't made with this type of hardware in mind though. Light years ahead of my old GT9500. Windows XP index = 7.8.
Cons: For more than 2 displays you must use one of the DP ports. A setup with two DVI monitors and one HDMI tv does not work. I already had a 32' long dvi to hdmi cable ran through the walls to my LCD tv. Now I have to buy a DP to DVI adapter or a 32' HDMI to HDMI cable. Kind of weird for a card this price but not enough to take away an egg.
Overall Review: Will get another one for crossfire goodness. Make sure you shouldn't be adding a new case to the cart as well. This card is large. Once I got everything in the tower there was only about 3/4" between the card and the hard drives which is not enough room for the power connectors for the drives. You need a big power supply also. I was fortunate to have won a 1200w at a LAN party so no problem here.
Pros: After weeks of debating whether to get the GTX580 or 6950, I took my chance with this VGA and it was worth it! I have been able to play everything maxed with very clean and smooth FPS. The price difference between the 6950 and an equivalent GTX580 is pretty big. For the price alone, this card is worth it. The performance is very good and it stays very cool. Since I've only had this card for 3 days, i haven't had the chance to get into OCing yet, but as it is, from the box, it runs BF3 beta (Caspian Border & Operation Metro) maxed and with Fraps on 50-60FPS.
Cons: I used to know one, but he moved. Surprised her was in the slammer to begin with. Srsly, no cons at the moment. Everything is GR-R-REAT!
Overall Review: Door hanger had a damaged letter/number in the PAC. Had to contact XFX Support and create a ticket to get free promo game. They were fast with their response and hooked me up quick. Now waiting on AMD to send me my code... For those wondering about FPS BFBC2 Fully maxed 100+ FPS (w/ FRAPS on, VSYNC off) CoD4/MW2 Fully maxed 200-300 FPS (Most mod servers ran at average 230-250 FPS) CSS Fully maxed .... LOL OWND!
Pros: This beast will run anything you throw at it on max settings. Love the 2GB of vram. Already overclocked all you gotta do is install it and enjoy.
Cons: runs a bit warm I set the fan manually to run @ 65% and it runs nice and cool
Overall Review: buy it
Pros: Really good card. Runs quiet, and very cool with the dual fans.
Cons: None, except wish it was free.
Overall Review: Ok- bought this card for an aging 5770, and expected a decent increase. I wasn't disappointed. This thing destroys any game I have including Crysis 2 on Extreme (60+ FPS). Has a nice little OC bump from the reference 800MHz core clock speed to 830MHz. Very good card. CF'ed it would be unstoppable. Bonus - it came w/Dirt3.
Pros: Night and day difference from my dinky 8800GT. I can play every game at max settings @ 1680x1050, which makes me a happy panda. I'm using this card on an ANCIENT mobo (circa 2006) with a Phenom II X4 945, 4GB of DDR2, and 2 OCZ SSDs in RAID 0. I get over 100fps average in BC2 with everything maxed. 7.8 on Windows Experience Score.
Cons: The size? Make sure you have enough space in your case. Oh and not having a second one. ;)
Overall Review: It's a lovely card and I'm very happy with it. Gonna get a second one to crossfire once I upgrade my mobo and RAM.
Pros: Takes on every game I throw at it; Dues Ex, SC2, league of legends, Dirt 3, Witcher 2, Crysis 2.(all on the highest settings) -Built to perform this Radeon HD 6950 2 gb 256-bit, -crossfire ready, stock clock @ 830MHz -eyefinity is the best running 3 monitors flawlessly -Duel fan is quiet -HD3d ready -2 dvi, 2 mini display, 1 hdmi XFX your the best!
Cons: none
Overall Review: Big card needs big case and room so becareful, the temp for the card is about 38c-40c idle and under games with highest settings it runs 65c-69c under heavy load.
