Is the heatsink that comes with the SSD removable, for motherboards that have a built-in heatsink?

Doesn't seem to be. Removing mine required an unusual amount of force, causing the PCB to split in half. Upon further inspection, the heatsink adhesive was hard as a rock after only ~1.5 years of use - not sure if this is normal (it certainly wasn't like this initially, nor other thermal pads I've used), possibly due to time and / or heat. Still waiting to see if Adata will cover this under warranty, but my advice is to not take the risk and just leave it as-is, even with a motherboard heatsink on top of it.
