The PS200RU3 is NOT a NAS, it is a DAS and support RAID. Whether you are a seasoned creative pro or just getting started, Yottamaster Storage family has something for everyone USB3.0 interface with USB3.0 to SATA3.0 6Gbps program.

The PS200RU3 is NOT a NAS, it is a DAS and support RAID.
1. Offers excellent design with an aluminum-magnesium alloy body and anodized surface
2. Supports hardware RAID 0, 1, and SPAN array modes to control speed, capacity, or data redundancy
3. Has a huge capacity for archiving and uses enterprise-class drives to deliver impressive performance, allowing users to perform tasks with greater efficiency.
Compared to traditional hard disk storage devices, the Yottamaster dual-disk RAID hard drive enclosure provides higher data security and reliability. It can be used by personal and enterprise users, and is particularly useful for backing up and restoring important data. It can also serve as a remote data storage solution to ensure users get reliable and secure data storage.

We recommend to set the 2-bay HDD enclosure to RAID 1 mode to protect your data and security.
RAID 1 mode stores data on two hard disk drives simultaneously, which not only protects data integrity but also reduces or avoids data loss. If any one of the hard disk drives fails, all data can still be retrieved from the other hard disk drive.
RAID 1 has the following advantages:
1. Data redundancy: RAID 1 mode can store data on two hard disk drives simultaneously, this redundancy can protect data integrity, even if one of the hard disk drives fails, the data can still be accessed.
2. Security: RAID 1 can protect important data from the risk of data loss or downtime, which is important for protecting your data.
3. Data backup: RAID 1 mode can make it easier for you to backup your data.
Steps for replacing broken hard drives:
If one of the HDD is broken, the corresponding led light will turn RED. Do not change the current RAID mode, or all data will lost!!
1. Safely eject the device from computer, turn off the device.
2. Using a new hard drive to replace the broken one. Note: Brand new drive has to be formatted!
3. Turn on the device. The device will automatically rebuild the current RAID mode.

Important Tips:
- Please backing up all data to prevent potential data loss when using hard drives, which are precision devices. Before performing any operation, backup all your data to avoid data loss or damage.
- Brand new HDD/SSD should be partition and format it first under disk management, then it can be used normally, otherwise it cannot be used. If the hard drive is not recognized at all, it is possible that the issue could be related to the lack of partitioning on the new drive. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer support.
- Auto-sleep after 10min of data inactivity. Note: the auto-sleep function can be adjusted with the softaware.
- Be sure to pay attention to the difference is the screw types (wider threads secure drive to sled; tighter threads secure sled to enclosure),Make sure you have the right ones for your drives before starting.**
