5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: I build and repair computers as a side job and have used these cases in many, many builds. There are plenty of bays for hdd's or optical drives and has great air flow and is easy to hide unused or extra lengths of cables. Very solid construction and is very clean-looking...I've had no complaints from anyone I've built a system for using this case.

Cons: None...

5 out of 5 eggsSo much, so inexpensive.

Pros: Antec quailty and thought out design.
Lot of screws and hardware, thumb connector screws all over.
Front Filter. Up tp 6 fans, nice cooling air flow.
So nice, it's my 2nd one in the Family.

Cons: None, None, None!

Overall Review: Already knowing this case I got this one for my daughters build. All my cases are Antec. No problems with quality, and Antecs support is tops if needed. They take care of their customers.
You can look at expensive cases and they are nice, but you can spend less on this and have all the quality and cooling benefits of any case. The hardware makes setup and upgrades easy.
Even though it's not a huge case, it fits larger CPU coolers.
I don't think anyone can say a bad word about this case. You will feel like you also have an awesome case owning this one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooling and nice looks Antec 300 Case

Pros: Nice sleek looks and comes with 2 fans with 3 pins to connect to motherboard. Interior has plenty of room and places to hide wiring. It’s possible to have a very clean and customized look, but a couple of additional holes need to be created to better hide the wiring. The power supply is at the bottom, which gives room at the top for a top facing fan.

Cons: Wire and cable management could be slightly better, but it’s still good compared to many other cases.

Overall Review: This is my fourth Antec 300 case that I’ve purchased over the years and I’ve been satisfied with each purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CASE!

Pros: - Cheap price for a nice case. Have built a few systems using these cases... the thumbscrews come in handy.
- SSD mounts to the bottom of the case.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Comes with a few fans included.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome case, but check sizes!

Pros: 6 internal HDD bays, 4 places for 120mm fans, plus bigger top fan. Bottom PSU.

Cons: Length is a little shallow, but then again, the RAID card I purchased is huge - 12.3" long. I had to cut into the HDD area for it to fit. The other thing is that 38mm deep fans will not fit in the front fan spots, you need 25mm deep fans.

5 out of 5 eggsReally a great case

Pros: Based on online reviews, mainly through Newegg, I chose this case for features, quality, cost and cooling ability. I was not a bit disappointed.
I was rebuilding the kid's gaming PC's and their current 'rad' cases were running hot, and loud. They need a bit of 'bling', but a couple of LED fans on the front of this case kept them happy (the Antec tri-Cool fans are great).
This is a very well-built case with no sharp edges, the quality is high with no problem-tapped holes and was by far the easiest build I have made - I do a couple a year.
If you want to mount two 120 mm fans up front, there are only three 5-1/4 external bays that can be used - up top.
If you want full cooling capacity, you can add 2 120MM fans on the front and 1 120 mm. fan on the side panel.
This arrangement is quiet (if fans are set on low) and has reduced the ambient case temp 12 C from the previous case. The CPU temp dropped 7 C.
You will want to mount the PSU upside down, otherwise it will strain for intak

Cons: I really cannot find a mentionable Con....

Overall Review: continued.. My ULTRA 750 PSU fit precisely and was not a problem. They have several mounting options for PSU's. No funky 'easy mount' drive cages, but I am a fan of using tools - a huge bag of thumbscrews was included.
Great cable mgt. options. No struggle with case sides. Finish good. Buttons not cheap. I simply cannot find a biiiiiaaaach with this case.

Please take the time to add reviews here, because a lot of people - like me - take your advise.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple, and functional

Pros: I'm not really into "the look" of a case. Crazy lighting and awkward designs tend to only distract me. This case disappears with the lights off. Plenty of space for everything, including an 11" video card. The fans it comes with are much better than I expected. I had purchased fans to replace them (typically what the less expensive cases produce), and ended up using the extra fans on the front and side. Great design and a well constructed, sturdy product. Would recommend.

Cons: These cons always seem so trivial. The USB ports on the front and top are great for my use, but I've caught some wiring in my DVD tray a few times when I'm not paying attention. The power supply on the bottom of the case was no problem for me, but I could see it being a problem with certain mobo's or psu's depending on location of wiring.

Overall Review: When I was shopping this PC, I picked this case purely based on its design/look. I was concerned about the price because typically "you get what you pay for" when it comes to retail electronics. This case had everything I needed and leaves me wondering what a case twice the price has, that justifies the difference.

5 out of 5 eggsIn 15+ years Antec cases have never ceased to amaze

Pros: I've used dozens of Antec cases over the last 15+ years of computer building. My personal powerhouse is still using an Antec full tower I bought 10 years ago, which has been the only part that I've carried forward for 3 separate computer builds now. And yet, as much as I love that old Antec steel full tower, the Antec 300 manages to trump it in every possible way and for less than half the price I paid for this beast a decade ago.

The Antec 300 cleaner, cooler, and quieter than my old full tower. Yet, it still provides more room, and can hold more drives. And to put the cherry on top, the Antec 300 is, hands-down, the best looking case I have ever used to-date. The mesh front is not only functional, but stylish. The easy to access usb, mic, and headphone ports on the front are solid and reliable.

Good work Antec, you've outdone yourself. I don't know how you could ever top a case like this, but I know one day you will. Somehow.

Cons: The only thing this case is missing are some holes on the inside to run wires behind the motherboard. I managed to route the cables very cleanly by utilizing other channels, but a few well-placed holes on the motherboard tray would make this a 6-egg case!

Overall Review: The case includes a 140mm top fan, and 120mm rear fan. For the large majority of users, even most gamers, this should be all you need. There is room for 2 more 120mm fans in the front, as well as one on the side, but these are completely unnecessary IMO. Here is my recommendation:

Keep the stock two fans running on low or medium, high seems excessive. BLOCK the hole for the side fan, which will do two things: 1) prevent dust from entering and 2) force all of the air to be pulled in from the front of the case, thereby creating a perfect channel of airflow through your case. If you do this, you can actually feel the cold air being sucked in through the front of the case with your hand, it's amazing! I just used a piece of cardboard and clear packing tape to block the side fan. No need to waste your money and create unnecessary noise by installing tons of fans. Smart airflow is more effective than excessive airflow, always remember that!

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Nice case, well built. Good fans good air flow. I love the large pack of thumb screws that is included!

Cons: Maybe put in the specs that a P4-12V (4Pin) connector Extension Cable is needed for the bottom mounted PS (Maybe a 20/24 pin extension too.) I'm sure many that buy these types of cases with a bottom mounted power supplies never think about the need.

Overall Review: Remember to get a P4-12V (4Pin) connector Extension Cable!!! This is going to be needed for the bottom mounted PS. I never thought about it and it caused my build to be delayed for a week. No ones fault but mine.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case in it's price range

Pros: Hands down the best all around case under 100$. I've bought half a dozen of these for myself or friends and family and never had ANY problems. Solidly built, plenty of room for a mid sized case, great airflow, and very customizable. The power supply is on the bottom, which is the way it should be, and the fans that come with it are great for any normal build, though you may want to buy 1 extra for the front. You can have 5 total case fans if you need, and the case is plenty wide for an internal light.

It also comes with a generous bundle of thumb screws, mounting screws, and smaller case screws. Antec even puts the mounting screws in for you! Also, the front panel comes off very easily, and the front air filter comes out quickly and painlessly. Both side panels come off easily as well, and stay on via extra large thumb screws, rather than fancy catch mechanisms that wear with age.

The more I use this case, the more I like it!

Cons: None. Really.

Overall Review: The only (good) reason you should want anything different is if you need a full tower or something specialized like a HTCP case. Unless you just want a case that looks more fancy, which is purely cosmetic. Looks are deceiving! You have been warned.

Anyway, with this case, you can make just about any conceivable type of build. It can fit just about any graphics card (or 3), most normal cooling systems, up to six Hard Drives (maybe more if you are creative), or up to six 5 1/4 drives + 3 Hard Drives.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case for the price

Pros: Looks good. Plenty of room. Even has a 2.5" SSD mount at the bottom. (wish I knew that before I wasted $8 on a mount kit)

Cons: A few more standoff holes in the bottom would have been nice. the right side of my mb has no screws in it and I had to be real careful when plugging anything in over there so as not to bend the board. No USB 3.0 on the front. For the price, can you really expect that at this point in time?

Overall Review: Everything is nice and cool in there. Running i7-2600k at 4.2GHz under load at 64C.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case!

Pros: Great Airflow. Decent cable management compartment to tuck excess cable into. With a 120mm rear and 140mm top fan, plus places for two front and one side 120mm fans, ventilation definitely isn't a problem. I'm using all Antec Tri-Cool fans with selectable speed settings so I can dial in the cooling to noise ratio pretty much wherever I want it. Everything is securely mounted and easy to get to. Nice looking case without alot of bling not everyone wants.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: This case works very well for me. Lots of ventilation. I didn't have any issues with space inside, and I'm running a full size ATX motherboard and an EVGA Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB PCI-E video card, which is physically one of the larger video cards out, I believe; and everything fit fine. I really like that Antec released this case. It's a sharp looking, very functional case. The fact that it doesn't have a clear side panel on top of all it's other features really sold me on this case. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I don't care much for clear side panels. I also like the bottom power supply location. From a stability standpoint, it makes sense to have the heaviest part of the computer at the bottom. Kudos Antec! Overall a great case!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Mid-Sized Case [CORRECTED VERSION]

Pros: -Ton of space, no squeezing and jamming things in.

-Bottom mounted PSU (See Other Thoughts)

-Very cheap

-140MM top exhaust fan along with 120MM rear exhaust fan

-2 optional 120MM front fans, 1 optional 120MM side fan (Not included)

-Looks a lot better than the other cases in the same price range, imho.

-Very sleek, and low-profile, fits in perfect under desk. Mesh front looks great.

- Good airflow, low temps even without the other three optional fans.

- Tons of extra screws and standoffs included, no big deal if you lose a few.
*Screwholes are in perfect quality, unlike some other cases where holes may not be centered correctly or are lopsided.

-Very quiet case, excellent tight fit on CD-Rom and HDD, no vibrating or noise. Fans run quiet as well.

-No large ugly logos or brands smeared across the case, only a very small "Antec" on the bottom-front of the case.

-Good packaging as well, solid fit into box, plastic wrap, and Styrofoam encasing holding

Cons: -It would have been nice to have at least one of the front fans included. However, airflow is excellent without it, so not losing an egg over it.

Overall Review: With the bottom mounted PSU you can use the bottom part of the HDD rack for tying cables together, which is very nice, and saves a ton of room.

**Note: My previous review said that the 140MM top fan and 120MM were not included when I meant to say they were included. Please disregard that mistake**

5 out of 5 eggsThe perfect case

Pros: Great, sexy, all-black textured finish. Perfect aesthetics for the casual user looking to avoid the neon case mod nonsense, but also a very, very sleek blackout look for even the most avid gamer. This thing looks mean and classy at the same time.

Ok so down to the technical stuff. The fan on top is nice and huge and not a common feature for a mid-ATX. You can install PLENTY of air movement gizmos in this case if you need it OR, if you're keeping it casual, you can set both stock fans to low and forget they're there.

Everything is very accessible and there's plenty of room around either side for cable management. Comes with the standard suite of screws and zip ties.

It just fits my GTX480 and there's plenty of room for a second and maybe even a third VGA if I want to get nuts. For those of you who don't know, that is a HUGE video card. Plenty of space to build your rig the way you want it.

Build and finish quality among the best I've seen.

Cons: I have tried and tried and tried and CANNOT get this thing to do the dishes.

Overall Review: It's gorgeous, sturdy, and everything fits great sooo...

5 out of 5 eggsDust Filter worth its weight in gold!

Pros: Light, Solid, Lots of places to mount fans, Dust Filter on front of case stops dust bunnies from forming inside your case

Cons: Its not a full tower, but still very roomy

Overall Review: I build a system for a client over a year ago using this case. This guy has 3 cats, and dog, which are all overweight and shed like crazy. Plus the guy himself doesn't have the best personal hygene ( The cats at least attempt to clean themselves ). What is worse is he never vacuums. One time I brought over my dyson, and a single 15 foot single wide strip of carpet filled the entire canister. Informmericals should be filmed from his house!

This system sat on his floor. Normally a system like this would develop dust bunnies inside the case, and eventually the fans would fail. After a year I was impressed the dust filter on the front of the case had stopped 99% of the dust from getting into the system. When I took the side off the case the insides were almost spotless.

Hands Down, Best Case Ever. I will be using it for all my future builds.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge Bang for the Buck!

Pros: This is my first bottom mount PSU case. I was a bit nervous about it, Turns out I shouldn't have been. Probably the easiest build (or re-build in this instance) that I have ever done. This case is roomy, quite and a joy to work with. I saw someone complain it only came with 4 MB standoff's. Well mine came with 4 installed and a bunch more I could put where I needed. It also comes with more than enough hardware to complete just about any build. It also looks great with out a bunch of annoying and unneeded lights. Cable management was well above the price range of the case as were most other features.

Cons: The port plate did not work with my motherboard but by not using it I could hang my fan speed controllers out the back. Pro/con? You decide.

As others have said there is no bottom venting so my PSU is blowing hot air into the cabinet. On the plus side the two huge quiet fans move it right on through.

It won't talk dirty to me.

Overall Review: I bought this at a brick and mortar on impulse. It also means I paid more than I would have at the Egg. I gave it 5 eggs because even with a couple of minor flaws it is so far above any other case I have dealt with in this price range that I would have given it 6 if I could.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME CASE

Pros: Airflow is great. My heavily overvolted hardware produces tons of heat, this thing keeps case temps in the 30C range constantly even less at idle.

-Price to performance ratio. More cash for hardware.
-Solid build. Its Antec. My bruised toes know it all too well.
-Looks good. Sleek and fairly minimalist. No chrome or cancerous protrusions.
-Dust filters are great. Just make sure you set the airflow up right or you'll still get dust in the case.
-Bottom mounted PSU

Cons: -It will heat your room. (Altho its just doing its job lol.) Not a problem unless its summer and you live in an upstairs apartment in Los Angeles.

-Almost spilled a rum and coke right over the top fan exhaust.. I did not want to find out if my beverage was conductive, not really a con tho just be careful.

-Also if you smoke, don't do it around the case, it sucks in a TON of air. The smoke particles will settle on your components.

-Cable management could be better
-Some people think the fans are loud. I am well accustomed to the natural ambiance of computational hardware underload, so wasn't an issue for me.

-side fan spot doesn't come with dust filter

Overall Review: I bought this off newegg 3 years ago, and its still as solid as the day i bought it. I had decided xboxs were for wimps and wanted to blow all my cash on a beefy gaming rig. Got this instead of the more expensive case and put the extra $$ into my hardware. The stock fans are still kickin, theyve been set on high their entire lives.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: _Plenty of space
_Clean, modern look
_Airflow
_Two included three setting fans
_Room for five total case fans
_Tool-less design

Cons: _Rear of motherboard mount gave me a nasty steel splinter
_Fans are LOUD on highest setting

Overall Review: Overall great case! I used a corsair non-modular power supply with billions of connectors for every imaginable component, but I was able to fit all extra cables in the cable management system located underneath the back panel.

The somewhat plain styling may not be for everyone; I got this case due to it not looking flashy or having lights all over the place. This case would be great for an office setting or somewhere where flashy styled cases would be frowned upon.

The airflow is great; I was able to overclock my processor about 16% with the included fans on low, stock heat sink, stock thermal paste, stock everything and only saw 55 degrees (Celsius) after a long, hour-long rendering process. The entire front panel is an air intake which allows excellent airflow over the 3.5" bays. My two hard drives will not get above 87 degrees (Fahrenheit) no matter how long they've been running.

Overall, another home run from Antec.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper awesome case for the money

Pros: Works great with excellent airflow and interior space for large video cards and cpu coolers.
Fans that are included are good quality and move a relatively high cfm.
Durable paint on case that looks good and doesn't scratch easily.
Very easy to add/remove fans to change airflow.
Has a compartment for extra power supply wires, which not only makes the interior of the case look good, but also increases airflow as the wiring is not blocking airflow.
Filter works great and is easy to clean.
Super easy to take apart and put back together.

Cons: Fans not included for other 3 spots that are open, not surprising given the cost, but without something installed in the side fan position, the front filter doesn't work as intended.

Overall Review: Using a Silverstone FF121 filter and another Antec 120mm fan positioned as an intake fan on the side panel makes this case extra cool. With two more Antec 120mm intake fans behind the front filter controlled by an NZXT Sentry-2 controller and this case looks as well as it performs!

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent but with some minor issue

Pros: Excellent case. Have all the features that I needed.

Cons: None. See the other thoughts.

Overall Review: Part of one tabs for opening the front panel was missing, when I opened the box. I couldn't find the missing piece. So it must have broken before packaging. Didn't bother too much about returning. But it seems that QC people at Antec are not looking carefully. Kind of disappointed. So one egg goes away.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsgood things

Pros: Quality built. Lacks the features of higher end cases but does not lose quality. Two big old fans will keep your case cool without adding any more 120mms even though you might want to depending on your build. Looks good. Not flashy, but when you really look at it, it is stunning. Especially when you see your fan leds peaking through the front of the case between the cracks.

Cons: No speaker. This is a pain. but i knew this before i bought so i can't deduct. I also have a weird issue with my headphone jack in the front but I think that is an issue on my side. no eggs to deduct.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat overall case

Pros: great build quality, for the price.
my case, unlike some others, did not have any over-spray on the inside of the case nor did it have any dents or cosmetic damage from shipping. for that I must thank UPS. very spacious on the inside.

I like that it has a bay other than drive bays, in which to hide excess wiring. Its also a plus that it comes with PLENTY of extra screws, which before receiving my case I would wonder how many it would take for a reviewer to have to mention that little detail.

I'm presently only using the 2 fans included in the box (x1 120 - x1 140mm), although I intend to get 2 more 120mm fans for the front and 1 for the gfx card on the side. temps are staying at 39c with the cpu fan running at 900rpms and its roughly 78F in my room.

all in all its an absolutely great case for the price you pay. its a simplistic no glitz or glamour design as I prefer to sleep in the dark at night instead of blue light-emitting diodes flashing on my walls and ceiling.

Cons: I dont think it takes away from the case at all, however its worth mentioning that at the high setting, the fans are only very mildly disruptive. I think the 120mm was rated at 30db on high and the 140mm at 31db.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

Pros: Great cooling, tons of room, understated and good looking, price

Cons: Outdated now with no anterior usb3. Stock fans a little noisy, but still going running 24/7!!!

Overall Review: This is a simple, and elegant case, with a ton of room for the largest heatsink you can throw at it. I love the front fascia, and understated blue led. It houses my "workhorse" computer, and I can't see replacing it. I bought a 5.25" card reader with usb3 accompanied with bluray burner and hot swap bay. It looks modern, is highly functional, and I'll use it for years

5 out of 5 eggsA simple case for a "sleeper" build

Pros: This case is an accepted commercial choice. This 300 case (and the 900 and 1200 cases) are what you see in booths at conventions. Everybody likes these basic Antec cases because they're plain and inconspicuous and predictable.

The exterior reveals a modest-looking case with an inconspicuous logo at the bottom of the front panel (see Other Thoughts), no windows to peer through, just a plain ol' black box.

It's what I want: No peek-a-boo that invites a senseless LED light display, several fan mounts for good ventilation, plenty of internal drive bays, and three exterior bays.

In automobiles, a "sleeper" is a plain-looking car that beats all rivals in a road race. This case is an outstanding choice for building a "sleeper" computer. Don't spend lots of money on windows and lights and lots of room under the hood; spend your money on an engine!

Cons: Although Antec makes an excellent fan, they do not make PWM fans. Although the stock fans are top quality and operate dead-silent, I replaced them. If Antec made 4-pin PWM fans, I would definitely bought those. Then again, nobody sells cases with stock PWM fans. I always need to replace those stock fans with PWM fans anyway, so no Eggs deducted.

Overall Review: Modder Recipe: Remove the "Antec" logo from your case's front panel. Obtain "JB Plastic Weld" putty at the hardware store. Mask off the "Antec" logo with painters tape to keep your putty job neat. Prepare the putty according to directions and apply it to cover the logo completely. Let it cure, then sand it using 200 grit and a 400 grit wet-sand. Polish with steel wool. Spray-paint it satin black.

Pros: Low Price. This case is perfect. Comes with 2 variable speed case fans installed, with room for three more- Two in the front, and one on the side panel. Lots of thumbscrews are included, front panel audio ports, and two front panel USB ports. Power supply mounts on the bottom.

Cons: NONE

Overall Review: I've built so many PCs with this case that I've lost count. My lawyer, my Mom, tons of other customers... This case looks great, it's functional, and best of all is the high build quality at less than 60 bucks. I love it, and you will too :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Antec has been my default computer case choice for many years. I've never had an issue with their case design. Everything just works.

When the case arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there is a mount for a SSD drive on the bottom of the case in front of the power supply slot, so I didn't have to use the 2.5" to 3.5" adapter that came with my SSD.

The 2 case fans (120mm and 140mm) come with adjustable fan speed controls (Low, Medium, High). At the medium setting they're barely noticable.

Cons: If you're planning a SLI or Crossfire setup then it may get a bit cramped inside the case.

Overall Review: If you're purchasing a new video card you'll want to make sure the length is less that 11" (the Asus EAH6850 I purchased comes in at 10.24"). You may also need to adjust how you mount the hard drives.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Both sides come off, so easy access to underside of motherboard for cooler mounting if necessary. The sides also come off with a hinge action instead of having to line up things and slide them into place. Those are a pain. Either the top or bottom always end up not engaged properly.

Cons: Not really a con, but in the photos, it appears that the bay covers are perforated grill for more air intake. They are just regular plastic covers overlayed with the metal grill work to blend with the rest of the bezel.

Overall Review: This is my first scratch build in 8 years and I haven't put any components in this case yet. I just unpacked it today and am waiting on the AM3+ boards to get released.

The reasons I chose this case are:

1. Fans... 120 and 140 standard with optional spots for 3 more 120s.

2. It's a black rectangular plain Jane case with no wierd angles or neon lights. It's going in my den, not a disco.

3. Power supply on the bottom. No more having to tie extra cables up to keep them from laying on components. Just coil them up on the bottom of the case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case, but rather get the Illusion

Pros: This is an excellent case, at the low speed settings the fans are barely audible. At the highest setting, you get some noise, but depending on your needs, it may be the way to go. The buttons are solid. Yeah the reset button is a bit touchy, but honestly who uses that anymore. I love the bottom mounted PSU, I had no problem putting both a OCZ in one and a Corsair in another. Very basic look, but it is a solid case. Tons of screws, good cable management, and no problems installing anything. I like the box it comes in as well, easy place to store the case if you want to transport it anywhere.

Cons: Honestly, I got one of these thinking I'd save a couple bucks, but when I ended up getting the 2 front fans, the price was close if not more than the Illusion. I thought it was the same specs without the LED but I was wrong. The 4* is cause in most cases, it's not worth the price without the two extra fans, imo.

Overall Review: I highly recommend getting the Illusion instead. The only downside to the the Illusion would be the led fans, but you could always cut the lights out if it's too bothersome. The fact that this does not come with 2 fans in front is a slight downside.

5 out of 5 eggsSubtlety

Pros: + Case is understated, elegant, and sturdy.
+ Thumb screws abound.
+ Complete lack of razor sharp edges.
+ Ventilation is plentiful, and the two hinged/removable fan mounts on the front panel are a nice touch.
+ Removable/washable filter should be present in every box, and it is welcome in this one.
+ No silly door to break off. My box lives in a locked cabinet, and a swinging door would be a nuisance.
+ Rubber feet. A mixed blessing when setting up the machine, but nice to have it you live on a hill or something.
+ Teeny-weenie reset button that's nearly impossible to accidentally press.
+ HDD access from front or back of rack.
+ Recessed area for routing unused power supply cables.

Cons: - Lost the use of a HDD slot when installing Firepro 8700. This card is monstrously large, yet it would have fit just fine if not for the power hookups to the card. It wasn't a problem because I'm not using all six slots and really I'm just grateful that it fit, but it is something to be aware of.

- I will be fabricating a filter for the side panel fan because I want it to be pushing air in, like the front panel fans, yet it does not have a filter. It would be nice to see future models include a filter for this location.

- Plastic faceplate is brittle, and the tabs that hold it on seem like they would snap off in the event of a snag. Not a big problem, just be careful.

Overall Review: Pleasantly satisfied with a reasonably sized, well constructed case that does its job properly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the money

Pros: - Sleek design, no "fancy" lights and buttons
- Sturdy construction
- Plenty of space inside for components (see Other Thoughts for specs)
- Front air filter is nice, helps keep dust out of case
- Two included fans are quiet and the speeds are adjustable
- Layout is smart, allows for good airflow
- As always, Newegg's shipping was fast and effective (nothing was damaged)

Cons: The side fan grill does not have an air filter.

Overall Review: - PSU is mounted on the bottom, so some cables (like the 12V CPU cable) just barely make it.
- Large video cards will most likely block one HDD bay, but there are 5 more, so I don't really consider this a con (if you need more than 5 HDD, you would get a different case anyways)

Overall, I'm very happy with this case.

Comp Specs: Core i7 920, GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked, Gigabyte X58-UD3R Mobo, 3 GB DDR3 RAM, 640GB + 750GB WD HDDs, Corsair 650TX PSU, Antec 300, S-Flex Scythe fans

5 out of 5 eggsGET IT. NAOW.

Pros: Loads of space for fans, good construction\design, airflow is NOT an issue ( I LOVE the blowhole at the top and PSU at the bottom, the PSU now runs cooler than it did before)

Really easy installation of front fans

Great understated look (matte black with the tiny blue lights work for me and I dont care for the gaudy look with windows and lights although blue fans in the front may actually be nice)

Easy overall installation with thumbscrews all over the place, HDD installation goes easy as well
(gotta love not needing a screwdriver to pull and replace a HDD out of a closed case) :D

Cons: None at all. Zero.

Overall Review: If you have a long (GTX 260) type video card, it WILL fit okay but WILL occupy one of your SIX internal HDD bays.
Now if you HAVE to have SIX HDDs in your case in the LOWER bays then you most likely need another kind of case......Right?

......In the greek that means no problem. Nice case. Period. If you want lights, bells and whistles this is NOT the case for you. If you want a good solid case with GREAT airflow that is easy to work with then this IS the case for you. Case closed (pun fully intended). Out.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple and Cool

Pros: -Very Simple Case Design-
No unneseary LEDs or designs.

-Very Good Ventilation-
I use this case for my MythTV backend. It has a Intel Core 2 Duo and four (4) 1 TB harddrives for storage. There is room to add two (2) 120 mm fans inside the front panel in order to cool the harddrives. The big fan is relatively quiety for the amount of air flow it creates. I honestly get cold just from sitting next to it.

-Unconventional Power Supply Placement-
The Power supply is located at the bottom of the box. This adds distance between the power supply and CPU so heat is distributed more evenly throughout the box

-Space between Harddrive Bays-
There is a solid centimeter between each of my hardrives (I have four 1TB hardrives). This gives proper ventilation to prevent overheating for machines that have many harddrives.

Cons: -Poor Fan Speed Control-
Fan Speed is controlled by switches with 3 positions (low, med, high). The switches are not accessable from outside the box. It would have also been nice if you could plug these fans into the MOBO to let the BOIS control them depending on system tempurature.

Overall Review: Very solid design. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase

I reccomend this for anyone who wants a large case that doesnt have all those unnessesary visual extras

I dont have spell check on this browser so I'm sorry for all the spelling errors.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: This is a nice case. It has enough room for long cards, although you might want to consider another case if you have more than 3 or 4 hard drives and long cards. The front grill provides immense airflow when you take advantage of the other 120mm brackets. The front of the case is as easy to remove as holding down 3 tabs gently. The power and HDD led's are sent through lenses and resized to dots so that the light does not blind you.

I was worried about having a power supply on the bottom and not having enough cable length for my 8pin power connector, however, I specifically ordered a power supply with long cables and all is well. Just something to think about for everyone else.

Antec made this case tool-less for everything but the motherboard and some optical drives with smaller mounting holes, by including a large amount of thumb screws.

No more 80mm fans, this is all 120mm and a single 140mm. The fans that are included all have 3 speed setting switches on them.

Cons: The 140mmx25mm top vent fan is very close to a larger cpu fan heatsink/fan, such as a zalman 120mm. Mine was not obstructed but consider another case if yours is a quarter of an inch larger if you have any intention of using that top fan.

I was cleaning the air filter on the front grill and as I was removing it I pressed on one of the plastic tabs a little too hard bending it back, so you will need to handle gingerly. The tab's are hidden so the damage is not visible.

5 out of 5 eggsUtterly awesome

Pros: Clean front, nice muted LED's, front-mounted USB, tons of drive bays, over-sized thumb screws for drive mounting, roomy interior, PSU mount at bottom, easily removable front bezel, rounded edges, easy off side panels (swing out instead of sliding), and nice big fans with built in control switches. Power button is nice and discreet. Documentation was written by English speakers.

Cons: Reset button is very small and narrow.

Overall Review: This case looks better and was easier to work with than I had imagined it would be. I used it to build a file server from surplus parts. I have six hard disks in it and they are nowhere near as cramped as when I had six in another of my cases. Each hard drive bay ample airspace above and below. The thumbscrews for mounting the hard drives are great. There were lots of extra screws and mobo mounting pieces.

I didn't expect much coming from the bottom of the 300-600-900 series at just under $60, but my expectations were surpassed. This thing is very solidly built and doesn't flex when you grab at the bottom or top of the case with the side panel off. I bought another case to replace one on a different pc around the same time, and I now wish I had gotten another of these. This is the best case I have ever owned.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very, VERY good ventilation with all fans installed. My E8500 idles at 30C and my GTX 280 idles at 41C (stock cooling). CPU peaks at 50 - 55C and the 280 peaks at 65-70C instead of the 85C people report it to work at. The two front fans (not included) have removable "door" cages with spaces to feed your wires through to the motherboard, the 250mm on top and the 120 in the back come with 3-speed fan controllers and are actually decent fans that are quiet. Because of the two front fans my GPU has direct access to outside air and still can provide good cooling for 3 the 3 HDDs I have. Fan grills are nicely "not flat" and formed to allow good airflow to the fans. The front pannel is a door and is very easily Case layout and configuration work very well for my parts, it is clean and free of extras while still looking legitimate and solid. The PSU can be installed both ways, fan up and fan down. This case is mostly a comfortable, straight forward build due to a simple and solid construction

Cons: The 250mm top fan is a bit of a risk in environments with a lot of debris as it can easily fall through the top of the case and onto your precious parts. Don't let your screws close to it. The cable management is a bit of a b***h as there's "only enough" room to hide your cables, go modular if you can. The 5.25" bay covers are not vents and are sealed off unlike the Antech 900. The PSU location has it's disadvantages as you have to run SATA power rails to the top first before connecting them, to avoid twisting up every single one. This is so because PSUs are generally designed to have their power rails run top to bottom instead of bottom to top. The case is sort of heavy but I wouldn't say it's a freak of Antech.

Overall Review: Overall a very good buy, I DO rate it 4.5 - 5 stars but I did feel that some of the petty issues while combined make this one half or one star short of truly eggcellent. For a $60 to $80 range case this is a remarkable product. Hopefully this has been a helpful review to some of you. 5 out of 5 eggsGood value, good cooling, good quality!

Pros: Lots of space, good thermal layout. With fans on low the system is very quiet and quite cool.

Cons: It can be difficult to cleanly route the motherboard main power and extra 12v cables.

Overall Review: I think it's worth the small price premium over cheap cases, considering the quality, performance, and expansion capabilities.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case-A few niggling shortcomings

Pros: Huge fans=great airflow, low noise. Nice area for routing cables for improved air flow and neat looking installation.

Cons: What's the point of filter in front bezel if the side fan vent has no filter? No system speaker. Had to find my own when I had problems and needed to hear beep codes from mobo.

Overall Review: Fabricated my own filter for side fan opening. With the bottom mounted power supply found a neater installation by rotating top fan 90 degrees clockwise and tie wrapping wires along back of case.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case for 50$

Pros: -Rubber stoppers on the bottom of the case
-You can remove both sides of the case doors and you have the wire management compartment.
-It comes with 2 case fans, allowing my F7P to push out up or sideways.

Cons: -My 4850 nearly didn't fit, but it has at least an Inch of clearance from the Hard drive.
-The reset button is quite small.
-To open the front door, you must take the side door of the case off and undo it. (Bad if you want to check something if you have a side fan installed.

Overall Review: If you are thinking of buying this case, go for it.
Or, if you have a higher budget for a case, try the HAF932 (If you buy the 1200, since the HAF932 is better in cooling and looks in my opinion)
Or, if you have less money, try the 900.

5 out of 5 eggsbest case i've ever bought

Pros: no stupid LEDs and plexi-glass windows. no sharp edges. plenty of external and internal drive bays. TONS of fans and i mean TONS (includes 1 120mm and 1 140mm - you will need 3 120mm to complete this badboy properly). comes with proper mounting hardware for your oem drives.

Cons: i'm torn. i like the psu being on the bottom of the case (less top-heavy and doesn't blow hot air on your cpu), but some psu cables will have to really stretch to connect to fans, mobo, dvd drives, etc.

Overall Review: i coupled mine with a FSB Blue Storm II 500w power supply (also highly recommended). price has dropped so even better.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite case

Pros: Fantastic air flow means quiet computing if you select quiet components. Easy to build, nice and roomy with good old-fashioned screw mounted drives.

Cons: Mounting 3.5" flash card readers requires and add-on kit. Mounting 2.5" drives required additional hardware (except for a single bottom mounted drive in newer cases). Sheet metal isn't as thick as the premium cases.

Overall Review: I build PCs for lots of friends and relatives. This has become my standard case. I've built up about a half a dozen of these without any issues. I prefer this case over the newer Three Hundred Two (which I've used a couple of times). My desktop PC is in a more expensive Sonata Solo and I'd prefer one of these.

5 out of 5 eggsA modern classic

Pros: There are so many! the case is well built-- solid, thick metal, with nice fit and finish. It has a bottom mount PSU (with no bottom grille-- which I initially thought was a negative, but turned out to be a positive... see "Other thoughts" below).

The case has 2x120 front fan locations that can be removed completely from the case (makes using silicone mounts super easy), has plenty of ventilation (CPU and GPU are 5 degrees cooler in this case than in my previous one at lower fan speed), a washable front panel filter, traditional front to back HDD mounting (while some see this as a negative, I much prefer the better ventilation), front panel USB/power/reset/audio/LED is mounted up high (easier to reach when case is on the floor) and are mounted to the case, so you can remove the front panel without issue without it being tethered to the case by the cords.

All of the fan mounts are well-sized (meaning that none of the fan's swept area is covered) and very well-perforated (less metal, more air space) for max flow and lower noise. It has a nice clean looking interior (I don't like the all black look), lots of thumbscrews included, not to mention enough standoffs for a full ATX board!

Earlier revisions of this case did not have a cutout for the CPU cooler backplate, but this one does.

I don't like buttons (power, reset, etc) that require a piece of plastic to flex. They usually break in time. It looked like this case might have had such a power button, but thankfully, it doesn't. It has a very nice, quality feel, and the reset button is small enough to prevent accidental presses. The power and HDD LED are blue, which I find attractive.

I like that it is not a tool-free design. I know you can use screws with the tool-free cases as well, but if you are going to do that, what is the point of tool-free? I built my first PC in 1990, so I guess I am a little old-school.

I also like that the case has only USB 2.0 support. Sounds weird to some, I imagine, but my motherboard (as usual) only has one 20 pin USB 3.0 header, and I like having an internal card reader that works at USB 3.0 speed and has a built-in hub. My card reader now gives me 4 USB 3.0 ports and reads all of the common flash memory cards, which to me is a better use of the sole USB 3.0 header than the two USB 3.0 ports on more recent cases. If this case had USB 3.0 ports, I would end up using an adapter to connect them to the 2.0 headers. Sometimes less is more!

Cons: If you like toolless drive mounts, this case doesn't have any.

For some, the old school front to back hard drive mounts might be a negative-- it restricts video cards to 11 inches (which is plenty for most of them-- only the ones with 3 fan coolers are a problem) and makes it a little harder to get hard drives in and out, but the side-saddle drive cages are also a restriction to airflow. Besides, the design of this case makes it possible to mount and remove hard drives from the front, through the fan mounts! Just unscrew the two captive thumbscrews and swing the fan and mount out of the way, and the hard drive bays are exposed.

The Tricool 140mm fan in the top of the case is pretty noisy at higher speeds, and while you can reduce the speed with the included 3-speed switch, it makes the top fan less usable with motherboard fan control. With the switch and the motherboard slowing the fan, it simply stops spinning at lower commanded fan speeds. Set it to a higher speed and that is no longer a problem, but then the noise is excessive when it gets warmer inside the case. I'll soon be replacing that fan with something else.

I did not even try the rear Tricool fan (120mm). I already have plenty (too many!) 120mm fans I like on hand, so that one got replaced before first power up.

The front HD audio cord should be a little longer. Most motherboards have the header for this on the lower rear edge of the motherboard, and while it does reach, it requires me to route it across the motherboard rather than behind it or around the edge. Similarly, the USB 2.0 cord is very thick and can't be routed between the motherboard and the motherboard tray. Perhaps that is a sign of quality or nice RFI shielding or something similar, but I've never had any trouble with cases that have thinner, easier to manage cables.

Overall Review: When I first unboxed the case, I was a little surprised to find the bottom of the case was completely solid and not perforated under the PSU (I admit, this would have been obvious had I paid more attention before I bought. I'm glad I didn't-- I might not have bought the case). This is only the second bottom PSU case I've worked with, and I had thought that being able to pull in cool outside air from the bottom was THE reason for a bottom PSU. Apparently not!

The directions for the case said that with a PSU that has a fan on the bottom (as mounted in a top PSU case), like any 120mm or larger PSU fan would be, you should flip the PSU over and mount it fan up. I promptly ignored that and mounted it facing down, and it works great that way. There's a good half inch clearance between the case floor and the PSU-- which is MORE space for airflow than under my other bottom PSU case that has the bottom intake. That guy has about 3/8" between the floor and the bottom grille, and it has to be on a hard surface (carpet a definite no-no). And that's with the additional restriction of the bottom grille and the dust filter!

I ran Prime 95 large in place FFT and Furmark burn-in at the same time for at least 20 minutes, and the PSU fan barely even moved, indicating that it was running nice and cool. It's the best of both worlds-- the PSU is down at the bottom, not pulling in the hottest air in the case, which improves the PSU efficiency and service life, and keeps the PSU fan slow and quiet... and it can be used on carpet without any airflow issues, and you never need to worry about the bottom air filter. The front one still needs to be cleaned, but that would be the case even if the PSU did pull air in from below the case.

I considered the Antec One and the Three Hundred Two, but because of the features listed above, I chose the Three Hundred. It's a discontinued item, so if you want one, better grab it now while it's still available.

4 out of 5 eggsA Little Obsolete

Pros: Well built sensibly designed case. Quiet fans (on low). Easy access to headphone jack and USB ports.

Cons: This fine case is in need of a redesign. Front USB ports should be backward compatible 3.0 and there should be at least one SSD dedicated bay.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this case.

Pros: This case is perfect. Good build materials. Clean, functional, comes w/ 2 fans, it's all you really need unless you're OC'ing to the point of frying your components. They give you plenty of screws (both thumb and standard). Not a monster beast case with all kinds of neon garbage/lighting all over to make it look like a space alien.

I've spent MUCH more on a case previously and I can honestly say that was a giant waste of money. This is the best case I've had and probably the best $50 spent on my build.

Cons: Might be a little small if you buy a monster graphics card like a GTX 690?? I've got a 670 in though w/ no issues, but, it's a snug fit.

5 out of 5 eggsBest budget case I found

Pros: - Very well made case, doesn't look and feel cheap at all

- Plenty of space for most builds

- Good airflow, the top fan does at great job of exhausting the heat out.

- Room for two fans on front and one on the left side; I didn't need to add fans to keep my PC cool

- Power supply located at the bottom

- Nice sleek look

- Probably the best case to get if you are tight on budget; It not only looks better than the other cases of the same price, it's also a lot more sturdier.

Cons: - No cable management holes, so you need to tie your cables in front, which is ugly, but at least there is no side window. Still not as easy to get a clean build

- No hole behind the motherboard, if you want to change the CPU fan/heatsink, you need to remove the whole motherboard

- Smaller drives such as SDD needs an adapter to fit in the case; the drives are held by thumbscrews, there is no trays.

- The front ports location can be inconvenient if you put a DVD drive on the top slot. When the DVD tray opens, it's blocked by the cables hanging down

- The front audio port makes static noise; I needed to mod it to fix the issue

- The front USB ports are a bit loose, which sometime makes the drives disconnect/reconnect. The plastic tab inside one of the port broke due to this; I tried gluing it back, which was a very delicate process, and now the port doesn't work with some devices(bad pin contact)

- HDD bays orientation makes harder to change drives when the case isn't e

Overall Review: I built my computer back in 2009 with this case and it's definitely a great case. I always recommend this case when someone is looking for a great case, but has little money to spend on it. I don't know any other cases that is as good in quality for the price. Most of them are flimsy and use cheap plastic/thin metal, this one is an exception.

As listed in the cons, it may lack some features, but for the price range it's to be expected. In fact, I'm glad Antec actually focused on the case quality instead of putting all sort of optional features. It's basic, but gets the job done.

Cheap cases with good airflow are hard to find too, I never had any cooling problem in 3 years with this case, and you can always add up to 3 fans if you're putting some powerful components in it.

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Wow! no blood on case. After assembling a few boxes one really appreciates the rolled edges for the drives. Also very cool is the front panel comes off w/o breaking nails. More than enough stand offs. Love the thumb screws. Room enough for fans to cool most anything. Rubber feet on bottom. Access to CPU to mount cooler on reverse side. Filter on front. Spot for SSD. Just very thought out.

Cons: Have to pay another 13 bucks for 3-1/2 face plate for card reader. Not much provision for cable management-well not a 100 buck case.

5 out of 5 eggsDefeated Xerxes with nary a scratch!

Pros: Starting with ease of access/side panel removal and continuing with 3.5" drive spacing which leads to cooling/ventilation, capacity, general fit/form/function, cable management, front panel USB's at top of case, stock LEDs not distracting, stylish looks - what's not to LOVE!

The construction is top-notch with rolled edges, excellent tolerances, and no discovered burrs. Empty, it is light and properly rigid.

I really like the integrated lock retention tab on the rear of the chassis.

There is space and built in accommodation for 5 chassis fans! The front two mount in removable cages and (although you need to pay attention to orientation for cable routing) sit comfortably in place between the bezel and 3.5" cage.

Cons: Admittedly nit-picking here, but the Antec Neo PSU I installed is a different color than the rear/interior of the case - wish both were black.

The raised panels on the top and side fan covers/grills seem unnecessary - could have been flush. I don't see the purpose aesthetically, or for engineering purposes but it won't really be an issue. Perhaps the raised top will keep me from pushing an external drive over the exhaust.

I found the stamped name at the bottom of the face plate to be a slight negative. As an independent IT consultant, I have a very low volume hardware sales component. The logo is easy to miss (I overlooked it in the images), but previously I have used cases that had no external branding.

Overall Review: I don't usually write reviews - especially for products that do their job as advertised. This one exceeded my expectations, so I had to share.

I moved the included rear-mounted 120mm fan to the front and installed a 3-pin fan in the rear, plugged into system board. This completed the push-pull circulation and cleaned up cabling.

As a preference only, I replaced most of the provided thumb-screws (there were a lot!) with standard case screws. I won't be swapping drives frequently in this case (if at all).

Being a long-time 1n-w1n fan, I found a great deal to influence me to change my loyalties. Originally I purchased this because a sale/promotion/rebate combination made it almost impossible to resist. Now I am considering purchasing more. This system is for personal use, but for customer builds I am not yet sure about the branding.

5 out of 5 eggsCool, quiet, efficient & effective

Pros: Like what the title says. Plenty of room for my big 570GTX. You'd expect the fans to be cheap and noisy - wrong, they are of good quality, quiet and have 3 speed control button. Able to hide cables behind the motherboard (i dont, plenty of room in 1 of the many empty drive bay slots) cleanable air filters, easy to maintain and expand (you can even plug in the SATA cables easily from the other side of the case!) perfect for any level of computer builder. Also - clearly labled cables make it that much easier! All the screws you'd ever need.

Cons: None. I didn't recieve any re-usable cable ties but I don't care :)

- Amazingly priced for a quality steel case
- Comfortable room for my 8800 GTX (~11" L; does potentially block one HDD slot, but if you really need a third, you should probably be looking at a bigger case)
- Fan placement for great airflow
- Two pretty decent fans included with a three-speed control on each
- Easy install, included all the hardware I needed
- Hinged design for side panel doors so I'm not fumbling with lining up latches and sliding them back on

Cons: It doesn't bother me, but I thought I'd speak on the noise level of the fans included. These fans are pretty powerful; so much so, I'd equate their exhaust power (when set on high) with one of those small table-top/dorm room fans. Only thing is, when set on high, they do make an audible hum. It doesn't sound like a turbine engine or anything, but it is a quiet audible hum. Definitely not a deal breaker for me though.

Cable management isn't top of the line like others have reported, but invest 2 bucks in tie-backs and you've got better cable management. Not a deal breaker either.

Overall Review: I'm sure for most people looking at cases in this price range it will come down to a choice between this case or the Antec Three Hundred Illusion, but the only two things that the Illusion has that this case doesn't is 1) LED fans included instead of non-LED and 2) an extra 2 front 120mm fans. The construction/design of the cases are almost identical save for one detail: this case has a cut-out for CPU cooler where the Illusion does not seem to have an already cut-out portion for CPU cooler.

Bottom line: you really can't beat the price for this case. There's a reason it has 5 eggs after 1200+ reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Case

Pros: My first build with an Antec, and from this point forward this is all I'm going to use. Everything fits so nicely. No forcing of screws, quality materials, very good airflow. Keeps all my componets cool.
After a month of running i had a nice build up of dust and cat hair that was caught by the front filter. Nice to know that stuff wasnt' getting into the case.
Also NO annoying lights! +1

Cons: Could use a 3.5 Exteral mount.
Fans are a bit loud at the highest setting but that is to be expected with the amount of air that it pushes through. Currently have it set on the medium setting and it's nice an quiet.

Overall Review: Used in my raid 5 File server build.
Also bought 2x 120mm front fans to keep my harddrives cool. The GELID fans are an execellnt choice if your going for a quiet build.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case for the money!

Pros: This case is awesome. I use an Antec 1200 for my personal computer, and the build quality of it is excellent. I have seen Antec 900's before, and they are just as high quality. I figured I would give the Antec 300 a shot at being my case of choice for customer builds and I thought right.

This case comes with the large cieling exhaust fan which is 3-speed via a cabled switch (L/M/H). On high settings the fan is actually really quiet and moves a lot of air. The rear fan is 120mm, with the same cabled fan speed switch, which is also quiet. This case moves a lot of air and has great ventilation, with optional 2x 120mm fan slots up front for HDD/Intake cooling, and one 1x 120mm fan slot on the left case side panel. With only two exhaust fans going, it draws air from the side and the front very well, even without additional fans. With 3 more 120mm fans, this case will move about the same amount of air as the Antec 1200. This is the perfect all-purpose great-looking case. Highly recommende

Cons: This case is oriented as such that the power supply must be mounted on the bottom. This isn't really a con per-se, however with the MicroATX motherboard and power supply combo I used in this case, the power supply cables were barely long enough to reach their appropriate plugs on the motherboards. I'd recommend buying a higher-end modular power supply for use in this case, as I am sure that low-end budget PSU's will have short cabling issues as well.

This case can be fitted with 3 additional 120mm fans, which are not included. This case only comes with the top exhaust, and rear exhaust fans. They are high quality, but be advised that THIS case doesn't include the fans up front - nor are they blue LED illuminated. The Illusion model Antec 300 includes the fans, this does not.

I opted for the non-lighted version since this build is in a business environment and blue LED's are NOT professional IMHO.

Unlike it's big brother Antec 1200, this case does not feature air filters.

Overall Review: This case immediately earned my praise the moment I took it out of the box. It is very elegantly styled, and is low-key. It looks very good, the black finish Antec uses looks very professional. The grille styling on the front looks very sharp, so it will fit into any surroundings quite well. Out of the box, it's quiet and moves air well. I will be using this case in the future for any client-builds I do and I highly recommend this case to anybody seeking a well built, high quality mid-tower without forking over loads of cash for a high end gamer-oriented case.

I would be comfortable building a gamer rig using this case, as well as a business class case, or even a generic desktop. Lots of available space for additional hard drives, or addon devices.

The front USB ports point straight forward instead of at an angle, but they are very sturdy and are not loose.

You need not think twice about this case, buy it - and you will be pleased with what you get.

Enjoy. =D

5 out of 5 eggscase review

Pros: solid case. top mounted usb ports a plus. area on the side for cable slack makes cable mgmt much easier.

Cons: the 2 case fans this case comes with are a bit on the noisy side (they can be replaced). doesn't come with psu, but that was really a plus for me as i prefer to choose the psu that i use in all my builds.

Overall Review: case has a bottom mount for your psu, so keep that in mind. since this isn't a full size case, you need to be smart with cable mgmt. long pci-e video cards may interfere with some of the hard drive bays, though it wasn't an issue for me as i had just barely enough clearance. can add 2 additional fans to cool your hard drives in the bays.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat home server case!

Pros: Bought this case to build a document and image server for my home based photography business. Case houses 6 - 2TB hard drives and a CD/DVD burner. Added extra fans in the 2 front mounts and system runs quiet and stays cool in the closet of my home office.

Cons: None as far as my home server build is concerned. Didn't need any fancy options - just a simple case to hold a bunch of hard drives

Overall Review: Like this case so much, I bought a second and transfered my workstation machine parts into it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -This case a good amount of room with decent cable management.
-Easy to add in drives
-I like the option to add in extra fans.
-I like the PSU layout. The PSU sits on the bottom of the case.

Cons: -No mobo speaker
-Would look better if the back and inside of the case was black too

Overall Review: It might be hard to fit some PSUs securely in the case

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case for the Money

Pros: * Rock solid construction.
* Looks sharp, even better in person.
* Great airflow. Using the COOLER MASTER 4-pack mentioned below my case ambient temp is ~3C above room temp.
* Thumb screws rock. Easy to get in from either side.
* The tri-cool fans move a ton of air.
* Front panel does its job well.

I set out to find a simple, reliable, and affordable case. I ended up buying this because of the great reviews and clean look, and have been very happy with the purchase. For the price, you can't do better than this.

Cons: * The bottom placement of the power supply could strain your power supply cables. My 20+4 pin mb power cable was barely long enough.
* The tri-cool fans sound like a jet engine on the high setting. However, they are pretty quiet on medium and still move some air.

Overall Review: Another reviewer remarked that he often pressed the power button by accident when trying to eject his optical drive. My case is also under my desk and, I have never experienced the same frustration.

Note: I broke the rear-facing fan while messing around in the case while the fans were blowing (lesson learned). To replace the broken fan and to fill in the other three slots (x1 side + x2 front), I bought the dirt-cheap COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP pack of four 120mm fans. Quiet and inexpensive way to increase airflow. Note that these fans were almost too deep to fit into the front fan bays.

My rig (first build!!):

* Antec Three Hundred Case
* OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY Power Supply
* GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H Motherboard
* AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition @ 3.8 GHz
* COOLER MASTER Hyper N CPU Cooler
* G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)
* MSI N450GTS-M2D1GD5/OC GeForce GTS 450

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case at any price

Pros: Build quality, fit and finish, interior layout and design, easy of disassemby, surplus parts, ventilation, case fans with individual three position speed controls, quietness.

I have built dozens of computers and this is now my go-to case. It is attractive, extremely solid, very well ventilated and has enough room for almost any build. It's very easy to work with as the drive mounts, front panel fascia, and both side panels come off easily.

Also...it's steel! Some of the Asian cases are now coming with aluminum and MB trays and it sounds great for high-tech finish and feel, it's heat dissapation and it's lighter weight, but dent them or strips some screws or posts in them and your enthusiasm wanes. I want steel! And this case has plenty of it. Very sturdy for it's price point.

Cons: I really can't think of any someone mentioned shorter leads but I have used this case with half a dozen different motherboards and I have yet to have that problem. If I could make one design change to this case it would be to add mounting for another top fan but honestly I've never had to use one or to set the fans on anything but low. But if I was going to gear up a high-end gaming rig it might stretch it's ventilation limits.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Not too big, not too small. Just right. Lots of airflow, I installed 2 coolermaster 1200 rpm fans up front as well as a 800rpm sythe fan, and it's very quiet. Fits the Coolermaster 212 cpu cooler great. Included 120/140 fans move plenty of air on low. It's very quiet, much more silent that I was expecting. Very satisfied.

Cons: Cable management. I'm not really sure what they could have done differently. But with my setup, all the fans are connected to the same 5v, which makes a rats nest of fan cords near the front of the case. It's nothing too bad, but I thought I should mention it.. but what do you expect with 5 fans? :D

Overall Review: Great case.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: I have built three computers with this case and was happy with it each time. Solid construction, relatively spacious for the price even with the 8"+ video cards out now. Those who are picky about hiding extra power cables from your PSU will be happy to know it was easy with this case.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Black finish doesn't seem to scratch off really easy like on some cases.

5 out of 5 eggsGood decent case

Pros: Looks very nice
Spacious
Good build quality
well ventilated
washable dust filter

Cons: front panel tabs are kind of flimsy - might break if not handles carefully
No external 3.5" bay
Front ports feel cheap
Poor cable management
stuff could fall in from the top fan opening
case vibrates
No case speaker

Overall Review: The best thing about this case is that it does not look like a tricked out joke. Nice stylish box you can show anybody. The case is well ventilated. I added a 80mm front fan to push air in. The exhaust air from the back is cool even under heavy CPU (Phenom-II 965) load (I'm using on board video).
Case vibrates when in operation. Does not make a noise but you can feel it if you touch the case.
The system POSTED and booted without issue and the lack of a case fan was not an issue. Might need a case fan to diagnose any no POST issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case at the Right Price

Pros: With case as is it might be a little low in terms air flow, but i bought 2 120mm case fans and threw them behind the front panel and it keeps my system running very cool. With stock heatsink I am able to keep my AMD X3 445 under 100F at full load. and my Radeon 5830 doesn't get much higher than 122-125 F. Motherboard temps are typically in the 90s. I got this system for multiple reasons, the price is right and it had gotten great reviews for its price range. Rear and top case fans have 3 adjustable speeds which is very nice because I am able to keep fans on low so there is no noise but still provides enough air flow to keep system cool. Could be a little better in terms of looks but not bad by any means, and I bought it mostly for its function so I can't complain.

Cons: Not sure if it was the motherboard or the case, but had some difficulties getting all 6 motherboard screws in my ASUS M4A87TD. I had to apply a little more force than I would have liked but I got them all in and its working fine. Tight squeeze with very big Radeon 5830 in there but I feel that will be the case with any mid-tower.

Overall Review: If you are looking for an inexpensive case that has plenty of function, look no further.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect for me

Pros: very sleek and nice looking case, solid and no-nonsense. no sharp edges. there are many options for cable management. the panels come off nice and easy. the front bezel comes off no prob. it has an air filter and that's easy enough to get out to clean. with both panels off it still felt quite strong. the panels themselves could be bent if you meant to do it, but they are certainly adequate. if you want a super rugged case or something you're gonna haul around to LAN parties then look elsewhere.

the fans (120 back, 140 top) both have molex power connections. they also have a little wire coming out of them to adjust fan speeds. i left mine on low because i didn't want it to be loud and i have no hot components in there. still it's nice if you wanna step up the cooling. they are relatively quiet and keep in mind that the front of this case is a mesh covering. it's open and still the sound is minimal. very nice. when i put my hand up to the front or top or back fan i feel nothing but co

Cons: that it is housing a dell system that i had to transfer because i wanted to have a video card instead of onboard graphics.

Overall Review: not really an official build but this was the first time i did anything more that install a vid card or hard drive. it was easy, enjoyable and there was ample space to set things up. i won't get into the whole mess, but the dell case had a funny piece of metal that wouldn't allow for the connectors to plug into the vid card inputs. what are these guys, hall monitors?

i have wanted this case for a while and so there's nothing like the excuse to get something you want anyway. i have no regrets at all. not only is it nice now, but when i upgrade my comp in the future i will continue to use this case. to go with this i got the antec 550w modular PSU. fit snug as a bug.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT!

Pros: Good quality. EASY setup. LOOKS GREAT.

Cons: needs 3 fans, bottom mount PSU causes wire problems, but nothing that can't be easily fixed.

Overall Review: Because it's not anywhere in the specs on this page, the size fan you need to order is 120mm for the extra fans.

2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? Yes No

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Solid construction, great airflow even with just the 2 included fans. Can add 3 more 120mm fans for ultra cooling if needed. CPU cutout slot. Stable due to bottom-mount PSU, this is where they ought to be put. Hold 6 HDDs, 3 Opticals. Really, what more could you need? It even has a mounting spot for a 2.5" SSD now (this is not mentioned in the description, but it is there).

Cons: No speaker. Case speakers are not something needed often, but they can be useful. Really the only glaring absense.

Also, there is no external 3.5" option. I originally put Win XP x64 on my build 2 years ago, so I needed a floppy drive to load RAID drivers. I bought the adapter for the Antec 900, since the 300's was not available to purchase at the time. The adapter worked fine, though the faceplate did not fit, so I took a Dremel to one of the ones that came with the case. No biggie. And now that Windows 7/Vista includes RAID drivers, floppys aren't really needed.

The cable management isn't amazing, but it does the job. Do yourself a favor and get a modular PSU. I did since I needed 850+ Watts for my workstation, no problem with cable management that way.

Overall Review: I originally bought this case nearly 2 years ago for my first build. I found it really easy to work with. I just started a new job at an engineering place and needed a workstation at work. I opted to build one, since it would take only a few days to order and build, versus 2 weeks for a major computer company (and I got a better system for the same money). I got this case since it is a nice clean, no-frills case. No LEDs, no windows, just a nice simple black case with great cooling.

They have changed this case in the last 2 years. The first one I bought had the same bumpy paint finish others have mentioned, no CPU cutout, no SSD mount. The new version has the last 2 features, and they have fixed the paint problem, it is nice and smooth as can be.

Watch out if you have a large GPU. It can barely fit my single-slot 9800GT behind the hard drives. My workstation has an FX4800, this card sticks well into the hard drive area, but with only 2 HDDs, I had the room.

5 out of 5 eggsAntec 300

Pros: Absolutely THE BEST gaming case on a budget! Everything is well laid out....love the PS being on the bottom....both sides of the case are accessible (this was NOT the case with my Antec Sonata III).....great place for cable management behind the hard drives....comes with 2 fans and rooms for 3 more = )...super airflow! What more can I say!

Cons: Because it is a budget case....case material is very lightweight...but if u are going to build and put on ur desk, who needs super tough steel!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Pros: There are hundreds of cases out there at all price points. If you are looking for an inexpensive case at a good price, this one fits the bill. Plenty of room, easily disassembles, extra screws and standoffs, well built, and flexible. This extremely well ventilated case even has an air filter in the front. A 3-year warranty does not hurt either. I highly recommend you put this case on your short list.

Cons: None!

Overall Review: The two included 3-speed fans are great. At low setting, the fans cannot be heard, at medium speed, you get good airflow and you hear only a whisper. On high the fans can be heard but it is not obnoxious, and the airflow is very good. If you are running a pair of high performance vid cards and hot processor, I recommend adding three more 120mm fans (case is prepped for them, all you have to do is screw 'em on!) all running on low or medium, and you have a very cool case, in more ways than one ;-)

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Clean, elegant design. Flawless finish. Plenty of fan capacity. The two that come with the case are completely silent. Both side panels come off, allowing easy access to the underside of the mobo if you want to mount the CPU fan after the mobo is installed.

Cons: A bit old-school with a 100% metal interior. Everything screws together, so you won’t be snapping components in and out quickly. However, the case comes with a couple dozen large thumbscrews for your drives. Wish there was eSATA and 1394 on the front panel.

Overall Review: Bezel is plastic, but more than sturdy enough. There are two switches on the front, one a standard on/off, the second about 1/8” wide and impossible to press accidentally. The two supplied fans come with cute male/female combo molex connectors (sort of like the plugs on christmas tree lights). They also have a little cord with a three-position switch for high/medium/low. You might be able to run them out of the case, but I think the idea is to set your desired speed then close it up. Use the fan connections on your mobo for the front/side fans. I’m using an Antec EA-430D PS with a back-mounted fan, which means no fan issues or upside down mounting.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case I've owned

Pros: Attractive solid case. Not gawdy with lights and see through side panels. I really like the clean look of the 300. 140 mm top 120 mm rear fans are quiet. Room for 2 more 120mm fans up front in front of the Hard drive cages. relatively easy to hide cables away. Thumb screws on everything. No useless door on the front to get in the way and break. No special brackets and screws to lose. All thumbscrews can be replaced with standard screws. I've had a antec sonata which i hated but this one is infinitely better.

Cons: power button on front can be mistaken for cd eject button because they are very close to each other. would have been better on top. even though case can hide cables they could have done a lot better cable hole placements. no open spot behind cpu for easy access. scratches pretty easy but still stays black. 140mm for the top fan might be hard to replace. no filters on the fan outlets. even though it has 6 3.5" bays It's hard to use the ones in front of the video cards (i have 2).

Overall Review: cpu, hard drives, and other components stay cool in this case. hard drives are mid 30's without fans on them. case looks beautiful. The best case I've owned and I've owned them since the 486 sx2 50 Mhz.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -It's roomy enough
-good price
-The fans have been working very well, they've been moving enough air on the low setting, and are nice and quiet.
-Nice placement with the usb ports and audio jacks.
-the lights on the front are easy to see, and dont give off a lot of light.
-washable filter

Cons: -the power button does seem a little cheap, but I doubt it'll give me any trouble.
-I don't like the reset button, but I keep it disconnected anyways.
-no case speaker
-it might have been damage from shipping somehow but the usb ports were bent out of shape. Took about 10 seconds to fix though.

Overall Review: A very nice case for the cost. Will probably buy Antec again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat airflow

Pros: This case is just designed for great airflow, so that's what I'll focus on:
- Room for 5 fans besides the CPU fan(s). I have 7 total in my case (8 if you count the video card fan.)
- All those fans = low temps!
- Antec Tri-cool fans have speed switches for those without motherboard-based voltage modulation or a fan controller.
- Comes with 2 fans, one of which is a 140mm-- those aren't cheap!
- Room behind the drive racks to tuck away all your cables and let the air flow freely.

Cons: All minor points:
- Only comes with 2 fans
- Tri-cools are not the highest quality fans.
- Fairly standard setup, nothing innovative line sliding drive cages

Overall Review: Some people think this case isn't very good looking. I disagree. I replaced a Lian Li with this case for better airflow and haven't looked back.

5 out of 5 eggsNice thumb screws!

Pros: Antec provides many thumbscrews to be used to install both side covers and to install the 3 1/2 inch hard drives and to install expansion cards. It makes assembly and later re-assembly easier since you can remove and install the thumb screws with just your hand no screw driver needed. The case has a nice washable filter on the 2 front fans. The front fans mount in a nice cage. The front cover removes easily. The case looks nice and is a good size. drives install in an elegant straight forward manner. plenty of screws. Good price.

Overall great quality and elegant design.

Cons: Still need a screwdriver for any 5 1/2 drives. Very limited clearance between motherboard and these 5 1/2 drives. Only came with two fans - but that is clearly part of the price and one reason it was so low.

Overall Review: Very happy. Just installed new computer. Looks good and nice design evidenced by easy assembly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for the Buck

Pros: This case is an overall breeze to use. When you factor in the price, the included fans (a 120mm back exhaust and a 140mm top exhaust) you have to admit its a pretty darn good case. Airflow is excellent and can be improved greatly by adding a 120mm intake fan in the front (that's what I did).

The included fans each have their own 3-speed switch control. A *lot* of extra thumb screws, screws, and standoffs are included with this case.

The construction is sturdy and even though this is not a tool-less case, installing parts is straightforward though not entirely easy...see the cons.

Cons: The one con is that this case can get a bit tight. Once I put in my 650W Corsair PSU in the case, putting in the motherboard proved to be a bit more difficult that I anticipated. I had to shuffle around a bit until I could get the motherboard in place.
This is a small con though when you factor in all the other pros of this case.

Overall Review: I'm so glad the included fans are NOT LED fans. LED fans are a bit tacky. This is a good minimalist case.

5 out of 5 eggsDefinitely a great case

Pros: Bought this for my Core i7 rig, excellent case for the money. Plenty of airflow can be provided for the GPU, CPU, and hard drives. Holds up to six hard drives, or up to 3-4 drives if you have a longer GPU like the GTX 275.

Cons: Gets just a little cramped in there once all the hardware is installed, but with a little work the cables are nicely hidden and airflow is amazing. Paint job is a little subpar...there are a lot of bubbles in the paint but it is not noticeable unless you are really looking for it. The cables for the front panel might not be long enough for SOME motherboards, so watch out for that...the cables were barely long enough to fit with the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo after wire management.

Overall Review: I bought the case knowing it would be a bit tight for the GTX 275, but the Antec 300 is an amazing case for the money. Just install the GPU last.

Make sure the cables on the PSU are long enough to reach the motherboard power connectors, the bottom mounted PSU sometimes has its drawbacks. The Corsair 750W 750TX cables are long enough, consider one from their lineup.

Would I buy this case again? Yes!

4 out of 5 eggswatch cable lengths

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: - Good case
- looks sleek
- quiet fans (when set on low)
- plenty of room for hard drives
- power supply bay at the bottom seems cool.

Cons: Has no system speaker. How the flip am i suppose to troubleshoot build problems? not that i had any....

Overall Review: over all, its a nice case that i dont mind being displayed. I bought 2 of them.

Pros: This is a very nice case. No cute little 'no tools' gimmicks that may or may not really work, just good old fashioned screws that work every time. Plenty of room, solid, nice fit and finish, I even like the power supply on the bottom - first case I have had that did that.

Cons: There is not a case speaker for the beeps - not a really big deal, but I would like to have one in there. Come on Antec. how much can a little speaker cost - $ .10 :)

Overall Review: Fans have a High/Med/Low switch on them and do not plug into the motherboard fan control plugs. OK, so far, but the jury is still out on this. I would rather have the option of plugging into the motherboard.

Pros: In a few words: Spacious, Quiet, Solid, Sleek, Stylish.
Loving the cord storage bay on the side, behind the hard drive bays. Having the intake flow directly over the hard drives keeps them cool - a plus for reliability. Top and back fans are well placed for keeping your CPU cool on an Intel LGA770 board, can't speak for AMD though. Stock Tri-Cool fans are quiet and move good air. Never had an overheating problem in this machine, even running only the stock fans.

Cons: The power supply may be a reach to the motherboard for some PSUs, but my Antec True Power Trio 550 had no problems.
Watch out if you have a PSU with a large bottom fan, as this fan will be facing up and just begging to have screws from the card rack dropped into it. You could probably install it rightside-up, but I'd imagine that'd cause airflow problems...
There's no place for a Chassis Intrusion switch! Though a clever modder could always make a spot.
Don't expect to fit six hard drives and two large video cards in this case, but I doubt that'll be a concern for most users.
Doesn't include any external 3 1/2 drives. Floppy and ZIP drive users beware.

Overall Review: The PSU-on-the-bottom is unusual and give-and-take, but IMHO, having that weight on the bottom adds stability to the overall case. The filter does its job, but with a PC on 24/7 and a cat in the house, it becomes a regular occurence to have to clean it.
Overall, a very good case - half the cons I listed are nitpicks or caveats for system builders to keep in mind. Not enough to dock an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't beat the quality for the price

Pros: Quiet, sleek looking, and cheap. Great build quality with nice fit and finish. No sharp edges. Plenty of room for most people. Good airflow for keeping the internals cool.

Cons: Not going to ding it, but I would thing that rubber grommets for hd's would be standard by now.

Overall Review: BTX case, but small enough that you shouldn't have too much of a problem with psu cable length.

5 out of 5 eggssweetness

Pros: this case is a perfect example of why many other cases are severely overpriced and underdesigned. great cable management (very important), great cooling, quiet fans included, very roomy, removable dust screen. i highly recommend this case, unless you need a 3.5" external bay.

Cons: no 3.5" external bays, but you can always convert from 5.25".

Overall Review: power supply mounted on bottom. keep this in mind.

if it's so inexpensive and so very possible to build a quality case like this, why the heck is there so much garbage out there?

4 out of 5 eggsOverall good case

Pros: +No front door (made that mistake on my last case... seems like a good idea.. but gets annoying after about 2 days.. and forgetting to open it when you open ur cd-rom drive from windows... drive doesn't make a good sound)
+2 free fans, room for 3 more 120's, and front filter
+Sturdy
+Rubber-ish rests on bottom of case so case won't slide around your desk easily or scratch/damage a surface

Cons: -Either my case came with a factory defect, or it simply wasn't designed to accomodate big PSUs naturally.. the PSU sits on a small raised platform on the bottom of the case and 2 backets that come out of the side of the case and an additional bracket a few inches higher (i suppose to minimize any movement of the PSU). Well I tried to fit my PSU inbetween the brackets to no avail.. only scatching the paintjob on my PSU.. after 2 tries and several scatched paint spots (probably voiding my warranty.. just a guess) I took a pair of pliars and bent all 3 brackets a bit.. and the PSU slid in nice and snug.
-Bottom PSU/Cable management... this is my first case with a bottom PSU.. and lettme just say.. I liked my top alot better.. cable management? How about just plop your excess cables in the top drive bay? Thats what I did and I saved myself alot of time and annoyance.
-Paint job isn't totally smooth.. you don't feel it, but if you look close you can see it.. not a really a neg

Overall Review: It is a little tight for a new build these days. Everything fit though. My nvidia 9800 GTX fit with about 1 inch before the HD bays to spare.. however.. the 2 6pin power connections on the end of the card prevent that specific HD bay to be used.. and another 1-2 bays are unusable due to all the PSU cables.. I tried but when I put a HD in it shoved the cables back putting pressure on the mobo and such, I didnt like it.

Overall, I like the case, I would buy it again but for another new computer I'd look for something bigger to give yourself some working room for these big graphics cards and heatsinks these days. (especially if you have big hands.. cause I have small hands for a guy !!)

Pros: Nice case felt as if it was built well prefect for a mid to low end computer build

Cons: The paint job on this case is Horride i had read in several reviews that they could see bubbles. same in the case that i received.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Great case. Fit the Tri cool asus 4870 X2 and Vigor Moonson CPU cooler with no problems. Comes with 2 fans, but get the 3 extras. Its loud, but I dont build gaming rigs based on noise levels.

Everything was easy to get too, and the PSU reached everything even being on the bottom.

Cons: Because the PSU is on the bottom. You'll have a hard time runing 3 way SLI especially if you use big cards like the asus 4870 X2.

5 out of 5 eggsLast case I'll ever need

Pros: - 2 Large fans with variable speed.
- Black
- Spacious
- solid construction
- quiet
- multiple HD mounds
- power supply on the bottom
- air filter
- tons of screws, brass mountings, thumbscrews, and so forth.

Cons: - no speaker
- I wished the front side ports cabling was routed differently

Overall Review: Great case.. I was a bit worried that my video card was going to be too long and but up to my hard drives - nope not so much!

5 out of 5 eggsBest case for it's price

Pros: -Easy to build, everything fell into place easy, no cuts on me!
-Excellent design inside and out for airflow and usability
-Included rear and top fans quiet, well placed, and have 3 speed adjustability
-Quiet for it's design
-side panels open and close easily and fit well
-Not as flimsy as some comparably priced cases
-Front bezel very easy to remove and replace

Cons: -Power button could be nicer
-Power and HDD LEDs very small and both blue, would prefer two different colors
-No 3.5" external tray for card reader or floppy (knew this going in)
-Didn't have free shipping ;)

Overall Review: I bought this for a customer who's priority was low price, reliability, and longevity. I figured the fans included would be enough to keep a 45watt AMD X2 2.5Ghz cool, and it's more than enough even at the lowest settings. I was very impressed with the look and ease of building with this case. The hand tightenable screws for the hard drives is a nice touch, and everything fits snuggly and securly. Will DEFINITELY use this case again, probably for my next personal build if there's nothing better out there. Overall, and awesome case for the mid-range market.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm Lovin' It!

Pros: AWESOME CASE! Not much more to say about this masterpiece. Very nice all metal design, comes with 2 fans, nice mid tower that is about the size of a standard case. Plenty of room to work with, was able to fit my evga 9800gtx in there fine as well as a Freezer Pro CPU cooler. Plenty of room to work with, great price and product. Would definatly go with this case for another build in the future. Love everything about this piece. Trust me you will too. :)

Cons: Can't think of any. Maybe the fans to be quieter, even though they are pretty quite already. LOL. Maybe silence isn't feasible. LOL. Fans speed do adjust though, i keep mine on low setting and they still pump out enough. GET THIS CASE, YOU WONT REGRET!

Overall Review: Antec 300, Antec NeoPower 650, WD Velociraptor (150gb), WD GP (1TB), Intel Q6600, OCZ 1066 (8gb), evga 9800gtx, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, Gigabyte EP45C-UD3R, Windows Vista Home Premium

5 out of 5 eggsgood case

Pros: Solid, enough room for a 9800GTX and some other stuff, good cooling. Runs at a steady 50 degrees C with only the stock case fans on medium settings, even under gaming conditions.

Cons: No complaints! Oh, it scratched me once when I took the side of the case off. Bad case! Don't bite!

4 out of 5 eggsSolid case, faulty wiring

Pros: -price
-Sturdy steel outer shell
-good fans/placements, great airflow
-looks great in a new age-traditional style sense? None of that "extreme" gaudy led/window nonsense
-plenty of room for my needs - fits a 9800GTX
-usb/headphone hookup in the front is on top, convenient

Cons: The reset button wiring was shorting out my motherboard. I was able to start my computer, the fans would come on and everything would seem to work fine but there was no visual.

This was my first computer I've built so it took me a couple days to finally narrow down the problem. Of all things I wouldn't suspect my problem came from the case.

I know this is probably rare, but I'm sure it is bound to happen again..future buyers if you're having problems don't rule out the case wiring.

Overall Review: I was going to give this 3 stars because I was so mad my case wiring was causing my motherboard to short, but I couldn't. I love this case. Other than the wire malfunction this case is solid. I know things like this are rare but it was a pretty frustrating.

Looks pretty cool with a blue led power supply in the back to match the front lights.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Pice ... lots of room. NOT a mini tower, full tower if u ask. 18" x18" the sides and from panal swing open, a breese to load ur CD/DVD drives. Antec quallity you exspect.

Cons: front fan holders ... to get a normal 120mm fan to fit, u need to leave the mount screws loose, mount the holdes then tightend up the screws. no big deal.

Overall Review: I own the antec 900 and like this one just as much as that. can't go wrong

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The case was very solid and very easy to build in. I like the way the front panel comes off easily. The front fan holders were a really good addition. The fan holders are a metal cages that swing out on hinges and have thumbscrews. Makes it really easy to clean. The air flow in this case is awesome. Other than that nothing really special its a basic case. Plenty of room for hard drives and optical drives.

Cons: I didnt use a floppy but if i had you have to buy a bracket.. this kinda sucks. No Speaker... not really a big deal but if you had problems with your motherboard you prob want to hear beep codes.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case design ever

Pros: Best case I've ever had in almost 20 years of building computers. Absolutely beautiful layout for airflow. Overclocked Q6600 running on air idle temperatures at 28 degrees celcius. Fully believe that is not only because of a good fan, but because of the amazing case layout. Ability to pull extra cable slack into the back and tie the cords out of the way really opens up the airflow in the case.

Cons: Nothing.

Overall Review: Doesn't look fancy but it gets the job done better than any case Ive used.

5 out of 5 eggsNice budget box!

Pros: This case is great. Tons of room! PLenty of 3.5 internal bays. Excellent airflow. Nice hidden compartment to stuff extra wires. Bottom mount power supply allows excellent circulation throughout the MB with the 140mm top fan and 120mm rear. I put 2 120mm's in the front and airflow is that of a cat 1 hurricane!

Cons: None unless you need a 3.5 external slot.

Overall Review: Nice all around mid range utility case. Side panel allows use of 120mm fan that blows directly on your video card if needed. Looks cool too! Buy it, you won't be dissappointed.
