Nice DVD ROM drive
- Pros: Runs quietly and reads disks rather fast, good price to performance ratio

New Customer/New Build/First Comment
- Pros: So far so good! Very quiet and smooth drive. Plain but what I wanted in a ROM Drive. I don't watch movies on my computer via Blu-Ray so for those similar as me who does not need Blu-Ray I would recommend this drive based on cost and performance. Thus far my experience with it has been that is quiet,no noticeable vibrations and stays cool compared to an older drive when playing a CD.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: I am working on my first "ground up" PC gaming rig build so it is reassuring to know that I am ordering my hardware from the best online PC and electronic hardware and component store on the www. I have been doing my diligence and comparing store to store and newegg.com has my loyalty.

cheap
- Pros: It was needed for a new computer build and it was cheap build quality is ok it is rather loud but not a issue for how rarely it will get used(likely only a few times a year)
- Cons: it could be cheaper,and quieter
- Other Thoughts: if you need one this one works fine

- Pros: Runs installation, which is all you should use it for. Don't plan on playing movies on this since it's high and loud sound will decimate your ears.
- Cons: Really loud, like having a Vtec engine inside your PC.

Basic Drive
- Pros: All you would need. There isn't much to a basic disk drive. It works and seems fast enough. Honestly just used for loading initial drivers and the occasional game that isn't a download.
