Categories > Laptop Accessories > Cooler Master > Cooler Master Notepal A200 Supports up to 16" Laptop/Ultrabook Cooling Pad with Dual 140mm fan Model R9-NBC-A2HS-GP

Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2 Disappointing
Pros: Having the USB used for powering the fans double as a two-port hub is a nice idea. Temperatures are also satisfactory now.
Cons: First off, there's no Cooler Master branding in the images, but there's a label right on the top-front of the stand. If you don't mind branding, then no biggie, but the product images really should be updated.

This thing is FLIMSY. I was afraid I was going to break it just taking it out of the packaging. I understand they were shooting for lightness and thinness, but perhaps using materials other than plastic would have helped...

The fans sound like tractors. Even on lowest settings. It's the kind of growl you hear on fans with extremely cheap bearings, or at least bearings that have gone shot.

The "elegant metal cover" is paper-thin, and looks like the sort of rough aluminum used in making baseball bats (but again, extremely thin).
Other Thoughts: All-in-all, this is a $30 laptop cooler. It keeps my Zenbook within acceptable ranges even while the machine is driving two external displays and compiling (it doubles as an on-the-go ultrabook and my Linux testing workstation at home).

I did expect a bit more from Coolermaster, something along the lines of the build quality of their keyboards, but this thing really is underwhelming, and it might be worth the extra few bucks to look elsewhere for something more durable and quiet.

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Cooler Master > Cooler Master Notepal U2 Laptop / Notebook Cooling Pad, Up to 17" (2 x 80mm Configurable Fans)

Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2 Three weeks at best?
Pros: Great cooling system
Doubles as a laptop "backpack"
Cools all the hot areas I need it to
Adjustable Fans
Cons: *Extremely Flimsy* fan connectors that attach to the underside of the cooler. Mine may have been DOA, but the 4 pieces that attach to the underside of the cooler break off incredibly easily. These connectors specifically are NOT good, solid material. There is only one left.

Luckily there is another fan & it doubles as a carry-case.
Other Thoughts: It's a solid cooler, but I can't, in good conscience, give it a good rating when tiny "feet" broke off before I even put it to use.

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Syba > SYBA 2-position Cooling Stand for 17" Laptop Computer, 15cm Large Quiet Fan, 1 Extra USB Port for Keyboard/Mouse Model CL-NBK68022

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 SYBA CL-NBK68022
Pros: Best value for price
Bought it because my Dell XPS M1710 display was freezing occasionally. It has not had any problems since I started using this cooler.
Cons: Can hear it running but not to loud
Great for on a table but maybe not so good on your lap
Other Thoughts: Box says SPYKER SPY-SUP-NB-TIS883 1604207
2 position means it has fold down legs in the back.

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Zalman Tech Co., Ltd > ZALMAN Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler Model ZM-NC3

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Not enough cooling for my Sony
Pros: lightweight
quiet
great black finish
Cons: doesn't move enough air
only 1 USB port
did not impact temps at all with my 17" Sony Vaio
rubber feet unglued after 1 day of use
Other Thoughts: Perhaps it's just my Sony Vaio VPC-F126FM's intake fan location, but this cooler did not decrease the i7 CPU temp (per Core Temp and Real Temp) during idle or heavy usage. The HD temps were unaffected as well.
You can feel the fan moving air, though not with enough velocity to make an impact.
The rubber feet that hold the unit in place fell off after 1 day of use, shipping this back to the manufacturer would cost as much as the unit, so I am not going to bother with an RMA
The divots in the mesh don't extend all the way down the sides of the unit, so my laptops feet don't sit in the depressions.

I own multiple Zalman products, and purchased this based on their excellent cooling/sound performance, though I'm disappointed with this product. Had temps decreased even a few degrees, I could justify the purchase, though as is I'm not thrilled with this unit.

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Cooler Master > Cooler Master SF-19 Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad Multi-Shader Lighting, up to 19" (2 x 140mm Adj. Fan Speed)

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Not so happy
Pros: It has the usb hub on the side which is awesome
has grooves for the wires so it's not a mess
fans do their job at adjustable speeds, as advertised
LED's to make you look fancy
Cons: well one morning i plugged it in, wanting to use my computer, and whaddya know, the fans didn't turn on, or work, at all. When the usb hub was plugged in the LED's lit up but that's all that it could muster. I only had it for a single week, and I probably used it only a few times. Sucks that I threw the box away, or I would have replaced it. New computer antics, I tell ya.
Other Thoughts: I think I'll give it another shot, considering that the one I got could've just been faulty, and the few times I did use it, it did it's job, But if It happens again, i'm out.

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 too good to be true
Pros: It is tilted nicely. It has an extra usb so you wont lose one.
Cons: The fans are not good. They are tiny, I had a cheap $20 fan before from another store that was better than this. I can't believe I spent this much money on something that doesn't do its work properly. I am disappointed. Don't use it for cooing. I will be sending it back once I figure it out. But grrr first item I bought from newegg >:(

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Get it now!!
Pros: I bought this thing for my boyfriend's Macbook which was running hot. It is the most convenient thing ever, and for the price, every laptop user should have one of these.

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Cooler Master > Cooler Master Notebook Cooler Model NotePal ERGO 360

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4
Pros: *fits up to 17 in laptops
*powerful dual fans
*adjustable rotating stand
*anti-slip ridge
Cons: *fans are relatively loud
*no on/off button
*can't adjust fan speed
*can't adjust fan placement
*anti-slip clips are a bit on the big side and will dig into you while typing
*takes up a usb port
Other Thoughts: It's a powerful cooler and conversely a loud one. It's either plugged in and noisy or quiet and off. The fan placements are fixed, but they're relatively large so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's good for those who use intensive programs, but more casual users should look elsewhere.

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Rosewill > Rosewill 15.6" Notebook Cooler with Dural 80mm Vertical Adjustable Fans Model RLCP-11001

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Fragile but works
Pros: Cost, its like 12 bucks and gets the job done
Cons: The sliders that the fans mount to are very fragile. I broke one within the first day of using it.
Other Thoughts: It would probably be better separate fans that zip tie to the frame that than an easy to break sliding mechanism

Categories > Laptop Accessories > Skque > Skque Wall Charger for Motorola Xoom Tablet (12v,1.5a), Black

Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2 Cheap replacement
Pros: It works.
Cons: Bought two units when original, good unit for the initial Xoom tablet failed after 20 months. These chargers have a very short cord, one third that of the original. They charge more slowly. One becomes dangerously hot, the other less so. Better than nothing.
