Pros: installation is easy. it worked right away.

Cons: The board layout is different from the user manual. No sys_fan_1 exists. The intended place is occupied by a USB header. But I did see sys_fan_2 pin head. Also I don't favor the layout of the sata heads. 4 and 5 sata head are different from 1,2,3 in terms their setting in the Bios.

Other Thoughts: I had constant unexpected shutdown and could not start the computer again by pushing the power button unless shutoff the power from the back for some seconds. Since the cons mentioned above, I like to relate the shutdown to this MB. There is similar shutdown issues online, but none has shown a placebo to mine.

Pros: Looks pretty. Not too pricey.

Cons: Bought this board instead of an Asus board because I've ownes Gigabyte boards for every other home build I've performed with great results. Last build, the Gigabyte board was still running strong after 5+ years.

When I built the system, everything ran fine for about two weeks. After that, I started to suffer random freezing and reboots. After running several tests and swapping out the GPU, I realized the board was the problem.

Unfortunately, against better judgement, I tossed the box for the board after it ran smoothly for a week, so I can't return it. Not to mention that the clip on the PCIEX16 slot was such cheap quality that simply bending it back to unseat the original GPU I had installed and seating the new GPU was enough to cause the clip to snap off, so even if I did have the box, a return/RMA would be out the window do to "hardware damage".

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte used to be a good brand, seems they've gone downhill since the last build I did a little over five years ago.

Not likely to buy another Gigabyte product in the future after the experiences I've had with this one.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a good board to overclock my FX-6300 and this seemed to be one of the most highly recommended boards. I was not disappointed!

Pros: Looked like all that I needed.

Cons: Was DOA. Fans would spin then stop and none of my devices would recognize. Sent it back to Newegg for RMA but didn't realize there is a clause that says if I've already sent the mail in rebate (cut out the serial #) then they can't do anything. Which I think is ridiculous but whatever. So I spent $14 shipping it back to Newegg only to get it sent right back. Then off to Gigabyte for another ~$15 where it takes about a week to even get any status update. Then today I get a response saying they found physical damage and thus my warranty was void. The picture they showed the damage isn't near any removable part or mounting screw hole. It is always possible that somehow I jacked it up in some unknown way but I really REALLY don't think this is the case. I don't know if somewhere in all the shipping nightmare it got smacked in just the right way or what. I don't know or care anymore I'm just really frustrated... I called Gigabytes customer support and got someone who stammered over a one sentence response. I don't even want the worthless thing back, what am I supposed to do with it if they refuse to fix it? Going to avoid Gigabyte in the near future and see if I have better luck getting my needs met.

Other Thoughts: These boards could be gold but I got a bad one and had a really infuriating time getting it fixed, which now I never will.

Oh and I STILL haven't even gotten the rebate back after 3 MONTHS!

Also Newegg censorship is kinda childish...

Pros: when it worked, it was great

Cons: First one failed before a month. RMAd for little hassle. A few months later and I just had a second one fail on me. Very frustrating.

Also worried it may have damaged other parts in my PC, due to the weird behavior of turning on (quickly restarts once before turning on every time)

Pros: - 6 SATA Connecters
- Great price point

Cons: - Not more SATA Connectors?

Other Thoughts: Purchased this primarily to use in a FreeNAS setup and PLEX Server. Combined with the FX-6300, 16Gigs of ram, and 4 4TB hard disks everything is screaming. I've had 4 simultaneous 720p streams out of PLEX without a hiccup.

Pros: Not much,this board is not plug and go and the instruction booklet falls short. I got my answers here on newegg. Thanks to all the people who do take the time to post if not for you i would have tossed it out the window

Cons: Hard drive must be wiped cleaned and new reinstall must be done. Would spend twice as much to not have the headache in getting this board to function correctly.
