5 out of 5 eggsSturdy 4 post rack

Pros: I ordered 3 of these for my new server room. These are great compared to the rack that I had before. Very easy to setup and move into place. I like the full door on the front and the split door in the back. I also like that you can adjust the 4 posts to where you want them in the rack.

Cons: none that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Nice racks for my server room.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to setup, good quality

Pros: This enclosure is large and suited my needs perfectly. The roller wheels make it easy to move around and get it right where you want it. The four doors make installing items quick and easy.

Cons: I found installing the screw posts slightly more difficult than some other cabinets we use. It's hardly a con, but still...I drew a little blood. Then again, I've always heard a little blood makes a build great.

Other Thoughts: I love this enclosure.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome rack!

Pros: This rack is very well built and highly modular. Tripp Lite put a fair amount of thought into the design of the rack. And just like the other manufacturers, if you use their PDUs and cable management stuff, it is a very snap-in setup.

One great aspect of the modularity, though, is the fact that you can move the vertical rails while the servers are racked. This saved me today when trying to squeeze our new blade chassis in and the rails wouldn't fit. Unlike other racks where I've had to remove all of the equipment to make these adjustments (making for a long night in a cold colo facility), I was able to get this done in 15 minutes during the day. Yay!

Cons: My biggest gripe is the overall depth when using vertical PDUs and cable management trays. The stuff snaps in with no tools, but then makes it really hard to get to the screws on the back end of the server rails or switches. Nothing that a right-angle screwdriver doesn't solve, but still...

Also, the door latching hardware that pins into the rack chassis didn't quite match up with the holes. A little Paul Sr. (OCC) persuasion and that was fixed, though. Probably got twisted in shipping.

Other Thoughts: This is a fantastic rack for the money. I've spent more on racks with fewer features and so I'm glad that I gave Tripp Lite a try. Their support has also been very good for some of the UPS equipment I have.

5 out of 5 eggsCleaning up

Pros: High Quality rack that makes getting at anything that you have installed in it easy to get at. Options for mounting just about anything anywhere in it.

Cons: One of the side panel locks was busted when I recieved it but Tripp Lite came through and replaced it for me.

Other Thoughts: Its a good rack. I like the fact that I can lock it up and know all my servers are safe even when the room is not.

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Nice, modular enclosure. Two locking panels per side (4 total) make it easy to remove and access equipment from the side. Rear doors are split for easy access in tight locations. Vertical rack rails are easily moved front-back for adjustable depth. Rack comes with extra vertical (removable) rails in the rear for power strip / cable route mounting (note that these are specially built for this type of application and are not the standard rack-rails). Lots of alternative mounting points on sides, top, and the special rails in the rear (even on the sides of the standard rails). Top is mostly covered with plenty of cable-routing options. Casters are multi-directional (not just front-back like a refrigerator), making it easy to roll around.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought this rack to install in my home office & installed all my stereo equipment, satellite receivers, etc and ran the connectors through the wall to the family room for a nice, uncluttered TV viewing setup.
