4 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU, cooler is blah

Pros: Extremely great CPU. Basically the same as a Pentium G3220 but only 10% slower and much cheaper. Sips power. At the wall, my entire system is 15W when idle and only 34W running Prime95.

Cons: The CPU fan makes a harsh "buzzing hum" which is very quiet but still a little annoying. I bet most of them are quiet and I just got one that isn't great. Still, it might be worth it to skip directly to a 3rd party cooler and not risk the Intel one being annoying.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Perfomer

Pros: low voltage keeps the cpu nice and cool. no need to spend more money on a after market cooler. Performance is plenty good for my use as an HTPC.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: none

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive processor that does the job

Pros: Fast, inexpensive

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Bought this with a gigabyte h81m-hd3 for a low cost, low power extra machine and it has done everything I have asked and more.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: *Price
*Lower power compared to my previous processor
*Runs cool and quiet using the stock heatsink and fan

Cons: This is not a big deal but I would like to be able to use higher frequency RAM with this processor since I am using dominator platinum 1866 mhz from my old computer and it has to be underclocked to 1333.

5 out of 5 eggsEggs-ellent HTPC Processor

Pros: If you're looking at this chip, then you know what it's for. I purchased this CPU to replace an anemic AMD E350 Brazos setup that had been in use for about 3 years. The little AMD had low power consumption, but when I needed a little processing muscle it really left me disappointed. Software decoding of HD media was just too much for the little Bobcat.

So, I purchased this Celeron as a replacement and I find that it is exactly what I needed. Low power consumption, low heat, and fast enough to do any media serving or playback.

To put things in perspective, my HTPC case has a 65W power supply. That is a VERY small power window to work with. I run this CPU, with one blu-ray drive, two HDD, one SSD, two sticks of 1333 DDR3, and two fans on a GA-B85N-WiFi motherboard and still fall below 65W under full load. For temperatures, the hottest core tops out at 53 °C under Prime95 using the stock cooler with RPM management enabled.

Even better, the integrated video on this Haswell Celeron plays 23.976 content PERFECTLY. Video is buttery smooth and DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD come through just fine over HDMI without any sync issues

Cons: Absolutely no cons. If I needed more processing power, I would get a more powerful CPU.

Other Thoughts: SuperPi (1M) = 14.260 seconds
System idle = 35W
System load = 56W

Based on SuperPi calculations, this CPU is 3.5x faster than the AMD E350 it replaced while only using about 10W more.

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely Impressive

Pros: Don't let the Celeron name fool you. This guy is quite a powerhouse. Most people would be incredibly satisfied with it for everyday computing. This plus a cheap SSD? You have a very energy efficient and cost effective machine.

Cons: Limited to DDR3-1333 Ram. Not a big deal. The iGPU isn't a powerhouse, but will more than handle HD video.

Other Thoughts: This make the Sempron obsolete.

5 out of 5 eggsCelery Powerhouse

Pros: - Haswell Architecture
- Better price/performance ratio
- Most affordable Intel dual-core processor
- Lower power consumption

Cons: - No overclocking
- Two physical cores without hyperthreading
- Power consumption is relatively the same as Haswell-based Pentiums.

Other Thoughts: I was surprised when the little celery processor comes out as best bang-for-the-buck CPU and it have performed extremely good in most graphically demanding games. The celery processor kept pushing the video card at the fullest. It's like tiny celery with high testosterone. According to 3Dmark's Fire Strike Standard result, it showed ZOTAC Geforce GT 640 Rev 2 running at 100%, so I upgraded the video card few weeks later and it ran on Gigabyte Geforce GTX 750 Ti perfectly at 100% with stable overclock setting! I have no issues with the celery processor using Autodesk 3ds Max 2014, Ogre3D SDK, JMonkeyEngine SDK, and Visual Studios 2012 for daily uses.

I used to be quite fond of AMD processors for best bang-for-the-buck performance until my interest shifted toward energy-efficient performance. For this price, you are paying for better price/performance ratio.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat in office build

Pros: Put this in a budget build designed for office tasks and I have yet to see it get under heavy load. Low power consumption. Haswell

Cons: Can only use up to DDR3-1333 mhz. Intel HD graphics are weak, but for basic use are not a problem.

Other Thoughts: Dual-Core haswell for $50. Cant complain
