5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed

Pros: Fast, cool, works great for the basics. Highly recommended for a grandparent, in-law, or budget build!

Cons: Included cooler is sufficient, but for a few bucks more I suggest replacing it with a cheap aftermarket cooler. It'll be easier to install and give you better cooling and noise levels for not much more money. The one I used is down below in "Other thoughts."

Other Thoughts: I put this in a cheap build for the mother-in-law who just wants the basics - internet browsing and very light office document viewing/editing. I was really impressed at how far Celerons have come since I last used one maybe 10 years ago. Heartily recommended!

(with my aftermarket cooler)
Idle temperature averaged 80.6 f (27c)
100% load temperature averaged 92.3 f (33.5 c).
100% load noise levels measured 22.8 dBA right next to the case

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little CPU

Pros: Used in a budget friendly, no-frills build. When paired with a little 120GB SSD and 4GB RAM, very zippy for web browsing, emailing, loading pictures, viewing 1080p youtube videos, and simple every-day computing tasks.

Cons: not quad core?
wish it used only 20W?
no hyper-threading?

Other Thoughts: Family friend reports computer is still running great a year after daily use.

5 out of 5 eggsGood basic CPU

Pros: I use for my NAS and an excellent price for basic computing.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I would but another one for low power computing like media servers and such.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Fine

Pros: Easy Install and setup.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I picked this up to update the bios in my new Gigabyte board because the current bios didn't support my I7. Served it's purpose and now putting in on my shelf in case I need it in the future for backup, cpu, or file system. Never know when you'll need a cpu..

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money

Pros: Price
Intel

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this CPU strictly as a temporary measure. My new build can use up to an i7 Devil's Canyon but I don't have the cash for it now. I didn't want my Z97 board to sit idle for more then 30 days only to find out it had a problem. This CPU is quite peppy AND inexpensive. I will be selling this Celeron when I am flush enough to get to buy it's big brother. The stock cooler on this CPU is quiet except when the computer is first turned on. It spins up loudly then quiets down.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat processor

Pros: -Fantastic price/performance/watt ratio
-Great on Linux
-Fast for everyday computing and casual gaming

Cons: -The fact that it is dual core might cause some issues down the road, but not for the foreseeable future

5 out of 5 eggsGood value, don't multitask

Pros: This processor was used in a build for someone who doesn't require much from their PC. The computer is used for web browsing and some really light games (Yahtzee, Solitaire, etc).

Cons: This processor is not meant for multi-tasking. Do not expect to be able to have 4 Chrome tabs open while attempting to install 2 things at once. It will have trouble keeping up. I mean, it's not really meant for that kinda thing so...

Other Thoughts: Good processor for a basic low-use home PC. Do not try to multitask with it. It cannot handle many things happening at once.
